Purpose: Purpose: The purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of the clients’ experiences of non-face-to-face videoconference group counseling. Design/methodology/data/approach: For this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with seven college students who participated in 18-hours of non-face-to-face videoconference group counseling. The data were analyzed by the phenomenological research method, and specifically, the following four steps were followed as suggested by Giorgi. Findings/Results: As a result of the analysis, a total of 5 components and 24 subcomponents were obtained. The components are as follows. ‘Starting group counseling amidst unfamiliar feelings and questions’, ‘I gradually reveal myself in interaction with group members and form relationships’, ‘Experienced growth through group counseling’, ‘Experiences from using videoconference counseling devices’, ‘Experience caused by not sharing the same space’. Value: The results of the study are expected to be used as practical guidelines when conducting videoconference group counseling in the future.
