국문 초록

퓨 리서치센터(Pew Research Center)의 조사결과가 보여주고 있는 양극화된 미국정치의 정당간 혐오감정 사례는 민주주의의 위기상황으로서 미국만의 현상이 아니라 글로벌 세계속에 있는 한국의 현상이기도 하다. 그러한 이유로 인해 미국 정치양극화 논의는 한국정치에 주는 시사점이 크다. 본 글의 목적은 퓨 리서치센터의 조사결과(2017년)를 토대로 미국 정치의 양극화 현상으로 정당간 혐오사례를 종합적으로 기술해보고, 이것에 대한 원인 진단과 처방과 관련한 이론적 논의를 통해서 한국적 시사점을 찾는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 첫째, 미국 정치양극화에서 정당간 혐오감정 사례를 현상적으로 기술한다(제Ⅱ장). 둘째, 미국 정당간 혐오감정 사례의 원인진단과 해법에 대한 이론적 논의를 탐색한다(제Ⅲ장). 셋째, 이어서 미국 정치양극화 논의가 한국의 정치 양극화 개선에 주는 시사점을 찾는다(제Ⅳ장). 넷째, 결론에서 전체를 요약하고 글의 의의와 한계를 밝힌다(제Ⅴ장).

영문 초록

The case of polarized anti-partisan hatred between political parties in American politics, as shown by the Pew Research Center, is a crisis of democracy and is not only a phenomenon in the United States, but also a phenomenon in Korea in the global world. for that reason, the discussion on the polarization of American politics has great implications for Korean politics. the purpose of this article is to comprehensively describe cases of hatred between political parties as a polarization phenomenon in American politics based on the findings of the Pew Research Center (2017), and to find Korean implications through theoretical discussions related to diagnosis of causes and prescriptions for this. to achieve this goal, first, the case of antipathy between political parties in the polarization of American politics is described as a phenomenon(Chapter II). second, it explores theoretical discussions on the cause diagnosis and solution of the cases of aversion between political parties in the United States(Chapter III). third, the implications of the discussion on political polarization in the US for the improvement of political polarization in Korea are sought(Chapter IV). fourth, in the conclusion, the whole is summarized and the meaning and limitations of the article are revealed(Chapter V).
