국문 초록

본 연구는 ICT 발전지수를 이용하여 디지털화가 한국 수출에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 2007년부터 2017년까지 한국 수출 상위국 기준 30개국의 데이터를 활용하였다. FGLS 방법을 이용한 패널 회귀분석을 통해 추정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외국 디지털화(digitalization)의 진전은 이들 국가에 대한 한국의 총액 수출과 부가가치 수출을 모두 증가시킨다. 둘째, 수출대상국의 디지털화는 세계화가 진전된 시기인 2011년 이전에는 한국의 국내 부가가치 수출보다 외국 부가가치 수출에 더 큰영향을 미쳤으나, 2012년 이후에는 외국 부가가치 수출보다 국내 부가가치 수출에 더 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 개발도상국의 디지털화는 선진국의 디지털화보다 한국의 수출에 더 큰 영향을 미쳤으나, 최근에는 그 차이가 줄어들고 있다. 넷째, 수출대상국의 디지털화는 상품무역보다 서비스무역에 더 큰 영향을 미친다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the effects of digitalization in many countries on the Korea’s exports by using the ICT development index. Data from 30 countries based on Korea's top exporting partners from 2007 to 2017 were used for the empirical research. Through the panel regression of the FGLS panel model, we obtained the estimation results as follows. First, the progress of overseas digitization leads to an increase in both Korea's gross term exports and value-added exports to these countries. Second, the digitalization of export target countries had a greater impact on the foreign value-added exports than on the domestic value-added exports before 2011, but after 2012, it was found that digitalization of importing countries had a greater impact on the domestic value-added exports than on the foreign value-added exports of Korea. Third, digitalization in the developing countries had a greater impact on Korea's exports than that in the developed countries, but the difference has been decreasing recently. Fourth, it was found that the digitalization of export target countries had a greater impact on the exports of service than on the exports of goods.
