국문 초록

우선, 터툴리안은 아버지와 아들과 성령의 위격을 구분하지 않는 양태론자인 프락세아스에 대해 반박하기 위해서 Trinitas를 사용하고 있다. 그리고 둘째로, 세 위격들의 분배인 경륜은 결코 일체성을 의미하는 ‘모나키아’를 배제하지 않는다는 것을 의미한다. 경륜과 모나키아의 관계를 설명은 ‘Trinitas’라는 용어를 통해 양태론자들에 대항해 ‘세 위격들’에 대한 설명하였기 때문이다. 셋째로, 터툴리안이 기독교 하나님에게 적용하고 있는 substantia는 스토아적인 것도, 아리스토텔레스의 제일 실체도 아니다. 도리어 터툴리안은 성경의 의미에 기초해, 즉 신앙의 규범에 기초해 이 단어를 하나님의 본성으로 이해하려고 한다. 넷째로, 경륜은 ‘성부, 성자, 성령’으로 계심을 의미하는데, 이 세 위격들은 서로 다르시다. 터툴리안은 ‘구분과 분유’의 원리에 따라 ‘다름’의 개념이 ‘한 분 하나님’의 ‘분리’가 아니고 ‘구분’이라는 것을 의미한다고 지시한다. 마지막으로, 터툴리안은 trinitas라는 용어 사용에서 철학적 이해 즉 삼분설을 의미하는 ‘인간의 trinitas’와 기독교 하나님을 위한 ‘하나님의 trinitas’를 사용한다. 신앙의 규범에 기초하여 터툴리안은 용어를 자유롭게 사용한다. 결론적으로 하나님에게 적용한 Trinitas는 양태론에 반대해 세 위격의 구분을 의미하는 성경 진리에 기초한 용어로 사용된 것이다.

영문 초록

Tertullian criticized that Praxeas was not distinguishing between God the Father and God the Son. Therefore, first of all, he used the term Trinitas to refute Praxeas, a modalist who does not make divine personal distinction between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And for this, secondly, Oekonomia which implies ‘dipensatio’ never excludes ‘Monarchy’, which implies ‘unity’ of divine nature. The reason why he explains relationship between the Oekonomia and Monachia is because the term ‘Trinitas’ is used to describe the distinction of the ‘three Persons’ against the modalists. Thirdly, the term substantia that Tertullian applies to the Christian God would be neither Stoic nor the first ousia of Aristotle. Rather, Tertullian tries to regard it as divine nature, based on the meaning of the Bible, that is, Regula Fidei. Fourthly, The term Oekonomia means being distinct as ‘Father, Son, and Holy Spirit’, and three Persons are different each other. Tertullian points out that the concept of the difference implies ‘distinctio’, not ‘separatio’ of one God, according to the principle of ‘distinctio and dispositio’. Finally, In his use of the term trinitas here, Tertullian uses not only the philosophical understanding ‘trinitas of man’ implying the tripartite, but also ‘trinitas of God’ for the Christian God. On the basis of the Regula Fidei (rule of faith), Tertullian uses the term freely. In conclusion, the Latin word Trinitas applied to God is used as a term based on biblical truth that means the distinction of three Persons against modalism.
