키워드 네트워크 분석을 활용한 K-드라마 관련 해외 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 K-드라마 관련 해외 연구 동향을 파악하고자 2013년부터 2022년까지 지난 10년간 SCOPUS 내 등재된 학술논문 중 K-드라마 관련 논문 166편의 주제어와 영문 초록을 대상으로 키워드 네트워크 분석을 시행하였다. 연구 결과 ‘K-드라마, 한류, 드라마, 한국, 문화적, 미디어, 텔레비전, 글로벌, 이미지’ 등의 키워드가 높은 출현 빈도를 보였고 특히 ‘문화적(cultural)’ 키워드의 높은 출현 빈도는 K-드라마를 문화콘텐츠이자 문화적 수출품으로 규정하는 시각을 반영한다. 상위 50개 키워드의 네트워크 중심성 분석 결과 키워드의 빈도 순위와 유사하게 연결중심성이 높았으며 특정 키워드의 쏠림 현상이나 새롭게 주목받는 신종 주제어는 확인되지 않았다. 주요 키워드의 CONCOR 분석 결과, ‘K-드라마의 문화적 영향력’, ‘대중문화로서의 K-드라마 성공 요인’, ‘초국가적 미디어의 재현방식과 영향력’, 그리고 ‘TV 드라마 산업과 시청자 연구’라는 네 개의 군집으로 분류되었고, 이를 통해 K-드라마에 관한 연구 경향이 크게 콘텐츠 측면을 주목한 연구와 미디어적 속성을 주목한 연구로 구분됨을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study conducted keyword network analysis on the keywords and English abstracts of 166 K-drama-related papers among academic papers registered in SCOPUS for the past 10 years from 2013 to 2022 in order to identify overseas research trends related to K-drama. As a result of the study, keywords such as ‘K-drama, Hallyu, Drama, Korea, Cultural, Media, Television, Global, Image’ showed a high frequency of appearance. In particular, the high frequency of occurrence of the keyword ‘cultural’ reflects the view that K-dramas are defined as cultural contents and cultural export product. As a result of network centrality analysis of the top 50 keywords, the degree centrality ranking was similar to the frequency ranking of keywords. As a result of the CONCOR analysis of the main keywords, 'K-drama's cultural influence', 'K-drama's success factor as a popular culture', 'Representation method and influence of transnational media', and 'TV drama industry and audience research' were classified into clusters. Through this, it can be seen that the research trend on K-dramas is largely divided into studies focusing on the aspect of content and studies focusing on media properties.
