국문 초록

본 연구는 한국과 중국의 금융환경과 인구정책 및 경제상황 등이 서로 상이하므로 이를 고려한 인구고령화가 상업은행의 수익성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 한·중 은행을 비교·분석 하고자 함이 목적이다. 연구에 사용된 표본은 2009년부터 2015년까지 중국과 한국 22개 은행이며, 패널분석을 이용하여 결과를 도출하였다. 종속변수는 은행 수익성을 나타내는 총자산이익률과 구조적이익률을 사용하였으며, 관심변수는 고령화 지수이다. 통제변수로는 자기자본비율, 유동자산비율, 자산증가율, 무수익여신비율과 은행규모를 사용하였다. 연구 결과 중국은행의 경우 고령화 지수의 증가는 중국 은행의 수익성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있으며 한국은행의 경우 고령화 지수의 증가는 한국은행의 수익성에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 이는 중국의 경우 고출산 농촌경제에서 저출산 도시경제로 전환되는 인구배당 효과를 경험하고 있으나 한국은 고령화 진전됨에 따라 부양부담 증가로 인한 소비감소, 대출감소, 저축감소를 초래함으로서 은행 수익성을 악화시킨 것으로 판단되었다. 본 연구는 인구고령화 변수를 이용하여 중국과 한국은행의 수익성에 미치는 차별적 영향을 비교·분석한 것에 의의가 있는 것으로 판단되다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of population aging on the profitability of commercial banks considering the financial environment of Korea and China, population policy and economic situation. The sample used in the research is China and Korea 22 banks from 2009 to 2015, and the results are derived using panel analysis. The dependent variable is the return on assets (ROA) and the core on assets(COR), which indicate the profitability of the bank, and the variable of interest is the aging index. We used capital ratio, liquidity ratio, asset growth rate, non - performing loan ratio and bank size as control variables. The results show that the increase in the aging index affects the profitability of the Bank of China positively and the increase in the aging index of the Bank of Korea affects the profitability of the Bank negatively. This is because that China is experiencing the demographic dividend effect of transitioning from high-fertile rural economy to low-fertile urban economy. However, as Korea's aging progresses, it has worsened the profitability of banks by causing consumption decrease, . The study used aging variables is believed to have meaningful implications for comparing and analyzing the different effects of the bank in china and korea.
