신라 금령총의 장신구 그리고 사람들

국문 초록

금령총은 경주 능원 북단에 자리한 신라 마립간기 한 고분이다. 1924년 첫 발굴됐고 2019년 재차 발굴됐다. 2022년 지금, 지난 성과와 고심을 담은 특별 전시가 성황 중이다. 금제 방울 출토를 기념해 금령총으로 이름 붙여진 이 고분엔 금관, 금허리띠 등 귀한 신라 귀금속 장신구도 함께 발굴됐다. 금령총은 신라 왕자 무덤으로 인식됐는데 금은 장신구가 대체로 작은 체구의 어린 사람에게 어울릴 법한 소형 물품이기 때문이었다. 이 글에선 금령총 장신구를 소재로 물건과 그것을 다룬 사람들을 조명했다. 금령총 장신구 발견 이후 쌓인 신라 장신구 연구 시각으로 금령총 장신구를 살폈다. 금령총 금관의 특수성, 금령총 금허리띠 과판의 독특한 눈속임 제작법, 금령총 여러 장신구에 동일 반복 구사된 유리/보석 복합 장식을 설명했다. 장신구는 인공 유물이기에 어떤 방식으로든 사람이 개입되어 있다. 이 글에선 장신구 이용에 관여한 세 주체 망인, 장례인, 장인을 탐색하였다. 금령총 망인이 유아인 이유를 되짚고 그에게 부여된 지위와 일부 장신구 不在에 반영된 짧은 생애를 살폈다. 다음 장례의 실질적 주도자인 장례 주관자를 살폈다. 장례 기간 그가 준비한 장례용 장신구(금관·금허리띠·금동신발 등)를 도출해 장례자의 존재를 설명했다. 끝으로 장례 물품을 만든 장인을 살폈다. 금령총과 천마총 금허리띠를 만든 인물의 공통됨을 따져 신라 장신구 전문 장인에 대해 접근했다. 죽음과 장례란 무대에 올라선 주연은 망인, 장례자, 장인이며 그들은 물건으로 얽혀있다. 이 논문은 금령총 장신구를 주제로 삼자의 상관관계와 신라 사회를 탐색하고자 했다. 그 시작으로 장신구를 단서로 금령총 망인, 장례자, 장인의 일차적인 존재를 설명했다.

영문 초록

The Geumryeong-tomp is a tomb in the Silla period, located at the northern end of Gyeongju. It was first excavated in 1924 and again in 2018. Now in 2022, a special exhibition of past archaeological achievements and research is being held. In this tomb, which was named as a ‘Geumryeong-tomb’ in commemoration of the excavation of golden bell, precious Silla precious metal ornaments such as golden crown and golden belt were also excavated. The Geumryeong-tomb was recognized as the tomb of Prince Shilla. It was because the golden crown and the golden belt were all small items suitable for young people of small size. In this article, I have illuminated the objects and the people who handled them with the material of the Geumryeong-tomb. With the results of the research accumulated until recently, I looked at the Geumryeong-tomb ornaments. Explain the speciality and production technique of the Geumryeong-tomb. Because ornaments are artifacts, people are involved in some way. In this article, I explored the three subjects involved in the use of ornaments: the dead, the funeral, and the craftsmen. Find out why the Geumryeong-tomb’s dead man is an infant. I looked at the funeral director who is the actual leader of this funeral. The funeral ornaments prepared by the funeral organizer were derived and explained his presence. Finally, I looked at the craftsmen who made the funeral items. The main characters on the stage of death and funeral are the dead, the funeral, and the craftsmen. And they are intertwined with relics. The purpose of this study is to explore their correlation and Silla society with the theme of Geumryeong-tomb ornaments. This study explains the archaeological existence of Geumryeong-tomb’s dead man, funeral director, and craftsmen with clues to ornaments.
