의료관광 동기에 있어 추진(Push)요인과 유인(Pull)요인의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 의료관광 동기에 있어 추진(Push)요인과 유인(Pull)요인 간의 관계를 파악하고자 20-30대 중국인을 대상으로 정준상관관계(Canonical Correlation Analysis) 분석을 하였다. 국내 의료관광 활성화를 지원하기 위하여 의료관광 동기에 있어 추진(Push)요인과 유인(Pull)요인을 효과적으로 상호 연계시키는 전략은 중요한 연구과제가 될 것이다. 분석결과, 3개의 정준함수가 도출되었다. 추진(Push)요인과 유인(Pull)요인의 관계정도에 있어 정준함수 1에서는 추진(Push)요인의 이국적이고 신기함(-.574), 바쁜 일상생활로부터의 일탈과 재충전(-.466)은 유인(Pull)요인의 다양한 쇼핑의 기회(-.513), 다양한 음식문화(-.462)와 상관관계가 높았다. 정준함수 2에서는 추진(Push)요인의 자국에서 치료받기 어려운 질병의 진료(.433) 속성이 유인(Pull)요인의 의료진의 질 높은 진료서비스(.425), 국제인증을 받은 병원에서의 진료가능성(.422), 첨단의 의료시설(.418) 속성과 상관관계가 높았다. 이러한 연구결과는 중국인 의료관광객이 어떠한 의료관광 동기를 통해 추진(Push)되고 유인(Pull)되는지의 관계를 파악함으로써 중국인 환자유치를 위한 마케팅방안을 수립하는데 활용될 수 있을 것이라고 사료된다.

영문 초록

Using canonical correlation analysis, this study analyzed the relation of push-pull factors in motivations for medical tourism focusing on Chinese people in their 20s and 30s. In order to promote facilitation of medical tourism in Korea, it is necessary to investigate strategies interrelating push factors and pull factors effectively as an important area of research. The result of the analysis drew out 3 canonical functions. In Canonical Function 1, the push factors of ‘Exotic and unusual sentiments’(-.574), ‘Recharging and break from the busy daily life’(-.466) were highly correlated with pull factors of ‘Various opportunities for shopping’(-.513), ‘Various foods of the country’(-.462). In Canonical Function 2, the push factor of ‘Treatment of illness (disease) that is difficult to be treated in my country’(.433) was highly correlated with pull factors of ‘Highly skilled medical staff and professionals’(.425), ‘Availability of treatment in internationally accredited hospitals’(.422), ‘Advanced high-tech medical facilities’(.418). The findings could figure out the kinds of motivations for medical tourism that the Chinese medical tourists were attracted and implemented by.
