전통 성악 콘텐츠의 제작 방향성

국문 초록

본고의 목적은 판소리를 바탕으로 장르 간 융합 형태로 제작된 창작 뮤지컬 <서편제>, 밴드 <이날치>의 ‘범 내려온다’, 방송 JTBC <풍류 대장>·MBN <조선판스타> 의 제작 배경, 내용 및 구성, 제작 의도 및 가능성, 한계 및 의의를 살펴보고 판소리 융합 콘텐츠의 제작 방향을 모색하고 이에 필요한 정책을 제언하는 것이다. 첫째, 창작 뮤지컬 <서편제>은 판소리를 드라마의 주체이자 가치로 설정해 인물들의 삶을 대변했는데 판소리라는 소재의 한계로 결국 흥행에는 성공하지 못했으나 판소리가 다양한 장르의 음악과 무대 등이 융합했을 때의 모습을 한 무대에서 보여줬다는데 큰 의의가 있으며 판소리가 가진 다양한 매력과 모습을 보여주며 대중들의 기호와 흐름이 판소리의 본질에 관심을 더 둘 수 있게끔 유도했다는 좋은 평가를 받는다. 둘째, 얼터너티브 팝 밴드 <이날치>의 ‘범 내려온다’는 1일 1범 신드롬의 주인공으로 판소리를 수용하여 가사와 창법은 판소리, 반주는 베이스, 드럼 중심의 록 음악을 바탕으로 판소리와는 전혀 다른 예술을 만들어 냈다. 낯선 판소리 언어와 소비시장의 부재 등의 한계가 있었지만, 밴드 <이날치> 구성원의 전문성을 바탕으로 장르를 넘어선 장르 해체 및 융합의 시도를 통해 만들어진 새로운 음악은 판소리의 대중화와 세계화에 대한 큰 가능성을 보여줬다는데 큰 의의를 지닌다. 셋째, 2021년 방영된 JTBC <풍류 대장>, MBN <조선판스타>은 판소리의 대중화를 목적으로 만들어진 방송으로 두 프로그램은 판소리의 다채로운 멋과 매력 및 스타 발굴을 의도했다. 참신함 만으로는 대중의 눈을 사로잡기 어렵다는 한계를 나타내기도 했으나 젊은 소리꾼들의 설 무대를 마련했고 판소리를 어렵게 느끼는 대중의 인식을 전환하고 판소리를 재발견하는 기회가 되어 대중뿐만 아니라 세계적인 콘텐츠로서의 판소리의 가능성을 끌어냈다. 넷째, 본고의 논의를 바탕으로 도출한 판소리 융합 콘텐츠 제작 방향은 창의적이고 실력과 경쟁력을 갖춘 스타를 발굴하고 다양한 예술 장르와 융합을 통한 영상 콘텐츠를 개발해야 하며, 원소스멀티유즈가 가능한 판소리 브랜드를 개발해야 한다는 점 등을 제언할 수 있다. 다섯째, 완성도 높은 판소리 융합 콘텐츠를 제작하기 위한 정책의 방향은 예술가에게 집중된 정책 방향을 작품 지원으로 다변화해야 하고 새로운 시장을 형성하기 위한 국가의 정책적 지원이 필요하며 판소리 융합 콘텐츠 제작과 관련된 분야의 인재 개발 및 육성 등을 제언할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find the direction of production of Pansori convergence content and suggest policies necessary for it. Based on Pansori, it examines the production background, content, and composition production intentions, possibilities, limitation, and significance. of creative musicals , Band , Broadcast JTBC , MBN . First, creative musical representes the lives of characters by setting pansori as the subject and value of the drama. Although pansori was not successful due to the limitations of pansori, it is significant that pansori showed various charms and aspects on stage. Second, alternative pop band ‘The Tiger is Coming’accepted pansori as the main character of a one-time syndrome, and created an art completely different from pansori based on pansori, bass, and drum-centered rock music. Although there were limitations in the unfamiliar pansori language and the absence of a consumer market, it is significant that the new music created through attempts to dismantle and merge genres beyond the genre based on the expertise of the band members showed great potential for pansori’s popularization and globalization. Third, JTBC , MBN which aired in 2021, are broadcasts designed to popularizes Pansori and the two programs intended to promote the colorful style and charms of pansori and discover stars of Pansori. Although it was difficult to catch the public’s eyes with its novelty alone, it set the stage for young pansori-singers, changed the public’s perception that pansori was difficult, and led to the possibility of pansori as well as the the public as a global content. Fourth, Direction of pansori convergence content production derived through the discussion of this paper can be suggested to discover creative, competitive stars, develop video content through convergence with various genres, and develop a pansori brand of One Source Multi Use. Fifth, Policy direction for producing high-quality pansori convergence content should be diversified to support works the state’s policy support to form a new market, and talent development in fields related to pamsori convergence content production can be suggested.
