국문 초록

본 연구는 초·중·고 학교급별에 따라 수학환경과 수학불안의 차이를 알아보고, 두 변인간의 상관 및 수학환경이 수학불안에 미치는 설명력을 알아보고자 실시되었다. 연구대상으로 수도권 지역의 초·중·고등학생 2,404명을 표집하였으며, 수학환경과 수학불안 측정을 위해 Jung(2002)의 ‘수학적 사회화 경험척도’와 Heo(1996)의 ‘수학불안 검사도구’를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 통계프로그램을 활용하여 ANOVA, Pearson 상관분석, 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학환경의 점수는 초등학생이 중고등학생보다 높은 수준이었으며, 수학불안은 고등학생이 다른 학교급보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 수학환경과 수학불안은 부분 적인 상관이 나타났으며, 셋째, 학생들의 수학환경 요인은 어머니 환경과 친구 환경이 수학불안에 의미 있는 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 부모와 교사들에게 학생들의 수학 학습현 장에서 시사점이 되는 경험적 기초를 제공할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference, relationship and prediction of the math environment with math anxiety in school students. The subjects of this study consisted of elementary(361), middle(932) and high school(1,111) students in a metropolitan area. “Mathematics Socialization Experience Scale” by Jung(2002) and the “Mathematics Anxiety Test Tool” by Hoe (1996) was used for measuring the mathematical environment and mathematical anxiety. The collected data were analyzed by using the SPSS 25.0 statistics program. The data were also tested with Pearson correlation analysis, multiple regression, and ANOVA. The results of this study are as follows; firstly, the math environment and math anxiety have significant differences according to the school level. Secondly, the math environment and math anxiety have a significant relationship with each other in subfactors. Finally, the regression analyses demonstrated that math environments’sub-factors were significant predictors of math anxiety. These results can a suggestive foundation for both parents and teachers who guide students in the field of math learning.
