국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 과학관련 프로그램이 학생의 과학흥미도에 미치는 영향이 어떠한지 메타분석 방법을 통해 체계적으로 정리하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2000년도부터 2022년도까지 발간된 초등학생 과학관련 프로그램 논문들을 검토하여 학위논문 24편, 학술논문 25편 총 49편의 논문 들을 메타분석 방법을 통해 분석하였다. 연구논문들에 대한 책상서랍 문제는 Rosenthal과 Orwin의 방법으로, 출판편의는 Egger의 절편검증으로 분석하였다. 전체효과크기는 통제집단에 비해 실험집 단의 효과크기가 19.50% 높은 것으로 나타났다. 조절변인에 따른 효과크기의 차이를 살펴본 결과 학생유형, 학년, 실험인원, 프로그램 횟수, 프로그램 처치기간 등에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 학생 유형은 영재학생, 학년유형은 6학년, 실험인원은 21~40명, 프로그램 횟수는 16∼20회, 프로그램 처치기간은 17∼20주가 가장 높은 효과크기를 보였다. 본 연구는 초등학교 과학관련 프로그램이 과학 흥미도에 미치는 교육적 효과를 메타분석을 통해서 살펴보고 과학관련 프로그램의 효과적인 적용 방안을 모색하고자 하였다는 데 의의가 있다고 본다.

영문 초록

This study aims to systematically organize the effects of elementary school science-related programs on students' science interests through a meta-analysis. Researchers reviewed the science-related program studies for elementary school students and analyzed 49 studies, including 24 unpublished theses and dissertations and 25 journals from 2000 to 2022. Using Rosenthal and Orwin's method the desk drawer problem for the studies was analyzed, and publication bias was analyzed using Egger's intercept test. The overall effect size indicates that the experimental group's effect size is 19.50% higher than that of the control group. As a result of examining the difference in the effect size according to the moderator variables, there were significant differences in student type, grade, number of experiment persons, times of programs, and duration of program treatment. Gifted students, 6th graders, 21~40 persons in the experiment, 16-20 times of programs, and 17-20 weeks of treatment showed the highest effect size. This study is meaningful because it examines the effect of elementary school science-related programs on science interest through meta-analysis and seeks practical ways to apply to science-related programs.
