다문화유아교실공동체 형성을 위한 교실의 규칙과 의례

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 다문화유아교실공동체 형성을 위한 교실의 규칙과 의례들을 도출하기 위한 것이다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 사례연구로, 연구 현장은 K시에 위치한 어린이집의 만 5세 반 다문화유아교실이다. 이 학급은 몽골계 한국인 남아 한 명을 포함한 남아 8명, 여아 12명, 교사 1명으로 구성되어 있었다. 자료수집은 교실참여관찰과 교사, 다문화가정 유아, 다문화가정 어머니, 원감 면담을 실시하였다. 자료 분석은질적 자료 분석방법에 따라 내용과 의미 분석으로 이루어졌다. 본 연구는 IRB 심의 후에 진행되었다. 연구결과: 다문화유아교실공동체 형성을 위한 교실 규칙과 의례는 첫째, ‘교실공동체의 질서와 구성원의 역할을규정하는 규칙과 일상의례’로 여기에는 ‘매일 만나고 헤어질 때의 명품인사’, ‘매주 월요일 아침 기도’, ‘우리반의 규칙’, 그리고 ‘이야기나누기 시간의 경청자세 찬트’가 포함되었다. 둘째, ‘‘우리’의 정서를 경험하게 하는 또래 상호작용 의례’로 여기에는 ‘친구를 놀이로 부르는 구호’, ‘신나는 생일파티’, ‘친구의 장난을 흉내내기’가 포함되었다. 논의 및 결론: 연구결과, 교실 규칙과 의례들이 교실생활의 질서와 안정감을 제공할뿐 아니라 즐거움과 ‘우리’의 정서를 경험하게 함으로써 다문화유아교실공동체 형성을 위해 활용되고 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This research examined types of the rules and rituals used in preschool classroom for creating a multicultural classroom community. Method: The study was designed as a case study. The research classroom is a 5 years of age class has 8 boys and 12 girls, which has one Mongolian-Korean boy and the others are Korean children in a preschool, K city. The data were collected via classroom participant observations, interview with a teacher, an Mongolian-Korean boy, his mother, preschool director and documents analysis. The data were analyzed by conducting content and meaning analysis. This study was conducted with IRB approval for participants. Results: The classroom rules and rituals for creating multicultural classroom community were first, ‘rules and everyday rituals to define the roles as a member and order of classroom community’. There are included ‘everyday luxury greeting’, ‘every Monday morning prayer’, ‘classroom rules that children made’, and ‘listening attitude chant in the circle time’. Second, ‘peer interaction rituals to experience ’weness’ emotions’, which are included ‘signal to gather peers and start off play’, ‘funny birthday party’ and ‘imitating a friend’s humorous language and behavior’. Conclusion: This results provided implications that classroom rules and rituals enable children to have experiences such things not only togetherness, order in the classroom and but also emotions with pleasure and weness as tools for creating multicultural classroom community.
