청소년의 부모지지와 진로성숙의 관계에서 자아개념의 매개효과: 잠재성장 모형을 중심으로

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구에서는 한국교육개발원의 한국교육종단조사 3차~6차 데이터를 사용하여 중학교 1학년부터 고등학교 1학년까지 자아개념이 부모지지와 진로성숙의 구조적 관계에서 매개효과로서 미치는 영향을분석하였다. 연구방법: 분석대상은 3차에서 6차까지 부모지지, 진로성숙, 자아개념 척도에 모두 응답한5,377명의 청소년으로 하였다. 분석방법은 Mplus를 이용하여 다변량 잠재성장모형 분석을 하였다. 분석을통해 중1에서 고1 시기까지 종단 매개효과가 있는지 검증하였다. 연구결과: 이를 토대로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 자아개념 초기값은 부모지지 초기값과 진로성숙 초기값의 관계에서 부분 매개효과가 있으며, 부모지지 초기값과 진로성숙 변화율에 자아개념 초기값이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 부모지지 변화율과 진로성숙 변화율에 자아개념 변화율이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 분석 결과를바탕으로 다음과 같이 논의를 하였다. 부모지지는 진로성숙에 절대적으로 영향을 미치는 요인은 아님을 확인할 수 있었다. 하지만 자아개념을 매개로 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 청소년에게 부모의 지지가 필요한 것으로 예측된다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 청소년 시기의 자아개념 형성과 진로발달을 위한 프로그램과 교육이 중요하다는 것을 시사하는 바이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study analyzed the effects of self-concept as a mediating effect on the structural relationship between parent support and career maturity from the 1st grade of middle school to the 1st grade of high school using the 3rd to 6th data from the Korea Education Development Survey of the Korea Education Development Institute. Method: The subjects of the analysis were 5,377 adolescents who responded to the 3rd to 6th parent support, career maturity, and self-concept scale. As an analysis method, Mplus was used to analyze the multivariate latent growth curve model. Through the analysis, it was verified whether there was a longitudinal mediating effect from first grade of middle school to first grade high school. Results: The initial value of self-concept has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between the initial value of parent support and the initial value of career maturity, and the initial value of the self-concept is completely mediated by the rate of change in parental support initial value and career maturity. In addition, it was found that the rate of change in self-concept was completely mediated by the rate of change in parent support and the rate of change in career maturity. Conclusion: Based on these results, It was confirmed that parental support was not a factor influencing career maturity. However, it is predicted that adolescents need parental support because they can influence self-concept. Therefore, the results of this study suggest that programs and education for the formation of self-concept and career development in adolescence are important.
