국문 초록

문제중심학습(Problem-Based-Learning: 이하 PBL)은 현재 학습자가 처한 상황을 고려하여 학습자의 흥미를 이끌어 낼 수 있는 현실적이고도 실제적인 문제에 관심을 가진다. 또한 PBL에서 학습자는 일방적인 지식을 습득하는 것이 아니며, 다양한 생각과 배경지식을 가진 동료 학습자들과 지식을 공유하고 의미를 협상해 나가는 과정을 통해 협력적 지식을 구축하는 사회적 학습 과정을 경험한다. 이처럼 최근 교육방식에서는 학습자들이 주체가 되어서 자신에게 직접 관련이 있거나 또는 관심 있는 문제를 중심으로 학습을 전개함으로써 학습의 효율성을 높이고 있다. 이에 따라 초등 도덕과 교육에서도 교육의 효과성을 높이기 위해 PBL 방법론을 도입하여 이를 적용할 필요성이 요구되며, 이를 통해 학습자는 도덕과에서 학습하는 각 단원에 대해 보다 깊이 사고하고 이해할 기회를 갖게 될 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 PBL 방법론을 적용하여 초등 도덕과의 통일교육 단원을 보다 효과적으로 학습하기 위한 수업 설계를 시도하였다. 그리하여 도덕과의 통일교육 단원에 대한 PBL의 적용은 궁극적으로 학습자들의 통일에 대한 관심 제고와 관련 사고 능력을 향상, 통일 관련 팀 과제의 수행을 통해 동료와 협동하는 능력 배양, 강의 질 향상과 학습자의 만족 등을 지향한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to design appropriate teaching -learning process of PBL(Problem-based-learning) for the instruction of unification unit on moral subject in elementary school. Generally speaking, learning is tend to learners-centered and is performed through problem that is related to learners' life or interests. From a this point of view, PBL has been recognized as an appropriate model to connect the learner's knowledge to his or her real world, to make the school learning effective and useful. And thus, PBL methodology is needed to apply to unification unit of moral subject in elementary school to enhance the effectiveness of teaching. The authentic and realistic “PROBLEM” should be developed by considering learners' interests and situation. In my oppinion, PBL is must be useful teaching method to enhance the effectiveness of Moral Subject in elementary school. However it has rarely been implemented in elementary schools because classroom teachers feel that PBL is too difficult for young children. Therefore, the purpose of this study to design a teaching-learning process appropriate for elementary school children. For this purpose, essential teaching and learning processes for PBL are drawn from literature review as follows: 1) meeting a problem 2) setting solution plans 3) exploring knowledge and skills 4) producing products 5) presentation and evaluation the product. To put it concretely, problems of unification unit and teaching-learning processes for 2nd, 5th grades are developed and designed to moral subject in elementary school.
