국문 초록

북한의 교육과정분석은 교육 분야의 통일전략수립에 가장 우선시 되어야 할 부분이다. 본 연구의 목적은 북한교육에 관한 연구를 수행하고자 하는 연구자들에게는 북한교육에 관한 기초정보를 제공하는 것이다. 연구의 목적에 맞추어 본 연구는 북한 교육과정에 관한 선행연구의 문헌을 조사하여 동향을 살펴보았다. 아울러 이를 통해 남한의 교육과정과 비교·분석하여 통일 교육과정에 대한 구상에 대한 제언을 하였다. 2010년 4월까지 확보된 주제와 관련된 56개의 선행연구는 다음과 같은 기준으로 분류 및 분석되었다. 첫째, 교육과정 총론과 각론에 관한 기준, 둘째, 학제 기준, 셋째, 연구방법 기준, 넷째, 출간된 학술지 기준이었다. 분석결과 본 연구는 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 북한 교육과정에 관한 연구 동향은 교육과정 각론에 관한 연구가 전반적으로 이루어지고 있다. 둘째, 북한 교육과정과 관련한 연구동향은 초등교육 및 중등교육에 편중되어 있다. 셋째, 북한 교육과정에 관한 분석방법 측면에서의 연구는 남·북한을 비교분석을 하는 연구가 가장 활발했다. 넷째, 전반적으로 북한 교육과정에 관한 연구는 교육 분야의 학술지에서 소개되고 있으며. 통일전략, 정책 분야의 학술지에서는 그와 관련한 소개가 미미다. 이러한 결론을 바탕으로 본 연구는 통일전략을 위한 교육과정의 연구방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Analysis of the curriculum in North Korea should be a top priority in establishing strategies for unification of Korea in the field of education. The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental data about education in North Korea to researchers and a motive for decision-making to lead investment to research on North Korea. In order to achieve this purpose, the research trend on the curriculum in North Korea has been looked through from previous research. The curriculum in South and North Korea was compared and analyzed, drawing suggestions about designing curriculum for unification. The 56 previous research on curriculum in North Korea until April in 2010 was classified and analyzed under four criteria as follows: generalities and particulars, education system, research methods, and academic journals published. The study results are as follows. First, research on the curriculum in North Korea is being conducted on curriculum particulars in general. Second, it is massively concentrated only in elementary and middle school education. Third, it has been most widely conducted by comparing South Korean with North Korea and analyzing it. Fourth, it is generally being published on academic journals of education, not on journals of strategies for unification and policies. From those results, this study suggests a direction for the research on the curriculum in North Korea to establish strategies for unification.
