국문 초록

본 연구는 여주시민의 복지증진을 위해 여주시의 정신건강 관리의 수준을 높이고 서비스를 증대하는 방안을 모색하였다. 여주시는 농촌지역에서 볼 수 있는 심리상담 서비스의 공급부족 현상이 있고, 이러한 심리상담 서비스의 부족은 지역사회의 정신건강 관리 수준을 낮추게 한다. 이러한 문제는 여주시에 정신건강 서비스 특히 심리상담전문가와 지역사회 내 다양한 기관들과의 협력 및 지역사회 서비스 네트워크 구축을 통해서 해결될 수 있을 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 여주시민에게 양질의 심리상담 서비스를 제공하는 것뿐만 아니라 여주시민의 적극적인 참여를 유도하는 방법을 탐색해 보았다. 그 결과 현재 여주시에서 활발하게 진행되고 있는 평생교육 사업과 심리상담 서비스의 협업과 파트너십을 제안하였다. 이러한 제안을 위해 토대가 되는 이론과 함께 여주시의 상황을 조사하고 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 특히 심리상담 서비스에 대하여 지역 주민이 적극적으로 참여하고 홍보하며 다른 주민들과 활발히 교류하는 상향식 접근을 강조하였고, 이 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 심리상담 서비스의 중심지를 일상에서 교육과 학습이 생활화되고 지적 욕구뿐만 아니라 정서적 욕구와 복지 서비스에 대한 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 평생교육기관으로 정하는 것이 매우 실질적이라고 시사하였다.

영문 초록

This study sought ways to increase the level of mental health management and services in Yeoju area to promote the welfare of the area. There is a shortage of psychological counseling services which is a common phenomenon in rural area, and this lack of psychological counseling services lowers the level of mental health management in the community. These problems can be solved through the establishment of a community service network for mental health services, especially psychological counseling experts, and cooperation with various organizations in the community in Yeoju. To this end, this study not only provides quality psychological counseling services to Yeoju people, but also explores ways to induce active participation of them. As a result, collaboration and partnership between the lifelong education project and psychological counseling service, which are actively underway in Yeoju area, were proposed. For this proposal, the situation of Yeoju was investigated and analyzed along with the theory that is the foundation. This study put stress on the bottom-up approach in which local residents actively participate in and promote psychological counseling services and actively interact with other residents. It was implied that it is very practical to designate a lifelong educational institution that can satisfy not only intellectual needs but also emotional needs and needs for welfare services.
