실시간 비대면 원격예술교육 사례연구: 줌(Zoom)과 패들렛(Padlet)을 활용한 연극수업을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 실시간 비대면 원격예술교육 사례를 살펴보고, 이를 통해 언택트 시대의 학교 안 예술교육에 대한 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 코로나19로 인해 학교 안 예술교육은 면대면 만남을 통한 미학적 체험이라는 기존의 장점을 살리기 어려워졌다. 드라마/연극으로 학교 안 예술교육을 실천해오고 있던 연구자들 역시 비대면 수업으로의 전환을 요구받게 되었다. 이를 위하여 연구자들은 2020년 9월부터 10월까지 2개월 동안 중학교 1학년 학생을 대상으로 줌(Zoom)과 패들렛(Padlet)을 활용한 실시간 비대면 원격 연극수업 프로그램을 개발하고 수업에 적용하였다. 구체적으로 ‘실시간 원격예술교육’을 실시하는데 관련된 5개의 문제를 제시하였고 사례 연구 방법을 적용하여 설문지, 참여 관찰 , 산출물 등의 자료를 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 수업 프로그램의 목적은 코로나19로 인해 서로 만날 기회가 적은 학생들끼리 화면에서라도 관계 맺기 전략을 통해 래포를 형성하는 데 있다. 또한, 학생들에게 협업의 기회를 제공하여 공동 성취의 경험을 제공하는 데 있다. 프로그램의 내용은 자신이 겪은 일에 대한 경험 대화를 나누고, 이를 바탕으로 연극 대본을 작성한 후 함께 공연을 올리는 것이다. 프로그램의 방법은 다양한 연극적 기법으로 관계를 형성하고, 패들렛을 활용하여 공동 글쓰기를 한 후, 이를 바탕으로 줌 기반의 낭독극을 공연하였다. 이 사례는 ‘언택트’라는 비일상적 상황임에도 ‘학교 안’이라는 제한된 공간에서 ‘예술교육’이라는 심미적 활동을 통하여 언택트 시대의 학교 안 예술교육에 대한 가능성을 실현하고 비전을 제시했다는 데에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed at examining real-time non-face-to-face distance art education cases and to draw implications for art education in schools in the untact era. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, art education in schools has made it difficult to take advantage of the existing advantage of an aesthetic experience through face-to-face meetings. Researchers who had been practicing art education in schools through drama/theater were also asked to switch to non-face-to-face classes. To this end, the researchers developed and applied a real-time non-face-to-face remote theater class program using Zoom and Padlet for first-year middle school students from September to October 2020. We obtained the following results of this case study by interpreting the collected data such as survey, observation data, and artifacts etc. First, we tried to form a rapport with students who had few opportunities to meet each other due to Corona 19 through a strategy of establishing relationships even on the screen. Second, we provided students with an opportunity to collaborate, thereby providing an experience of joint achievement. The content of the program was to share experiences about what they have experienced, write a play script based on this, and then put on a performance together. As for the method of the program, a relationship was formed using various theatrical techniques, joint writing was performed using Padlets, and a Zoom-based reading play was performed. In this case, despite the unusual situation of ‘untact’, through the aesthetic activity of ‘art education’ in the limited space ‘in school’, the possibility of art education in schools in the untact era was realized and a vision was presented.
