미래 아동ᆞ청소년 발달 전망에 따른 학교지식의 방향성 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구는 향후 도래할 인공지능시대에 살아갈 미래의 아동ㆍ청소년의 발달적 특성을 메가트렌드를 통해 전망하고, 이에 따른 대응과제를 학교지식 측면에서 제언하고자 시도되었다. 미래연구는 특정 분야에서 미래에 나타날 큰 흐름을 메가트렌드로 정의하고 이러한 메가트렌드를 탐색하여 추출하는 과정으로 이루어진다. 아동ㆍ청소년의 메가트렌드를 전망하기 위해, 문헌분석을 통해 과거부터 현재까지 데이터화된 아동ㆍ청소년 발달 및 특성 변화의 추세를 참조하였고 전문가협의회 과정을 거쳤다. 전문가협의회를 통해 아동ㆍ청소년 발달의 다섯 가지 미래 메가트랜드(신체구조 및 기능의 변화, 신경생리 및 인지, 학습에서의 변화, 정신건강 문제 및 정서적 취약성 증가, 개성추구ㆍ개인화ㆍ다원화된 삶의 방식, 디지털 네트워크화)가 도출되었고 이에 따라 187개의 지식 항목이 개발되었다. 이렇게 개발된 지식항목에 대해서는 2회의 전문가 델파이조사를 수행하여 전문가들이 필요하다고 판단하는 지식 요소를 조사하였다. 분석결과, 아동ㆍ청소년 메가트렌드에 따른 미래 학교지식의 네 가지 지향점을 확인하였는데, 이는 첫째, 지식, 기술, 가치ㆍ태도ㆍ윤리 요소가 편중되지 않고 균형 있게 포함되어야 한다는 점, 둘째, 교과 간 융복합적/탈경계적 성격이 강하게 나타날 것이라는 점, 셋째, 특별히 정서와 관련된 지식 요소가 미래 학교교육에서 더욱 중요하게 다뤄져야 할 것이라는 점, 넷째, 탈-인간중심주의와 관련된 지식 항목들이 상대적으로 낮게 평가되고 자율성, 유능성, 창의성과 같은 인간중심적 특징이 여전히 강조되었다는 점이다. 각 특징에 대한 해석이 이루어졌고, 결론적으로 인간과 비인간 존재 간의 지속적인 상호의존적 관계 속에서 각 주체의 수행력을 토대로 새로운 지식을 공동으로 생산하고 이를 통해 의미 있는 세계를 구성하고 실천할 수 있도록 하는 교육과정으로의 변화가 제언되었다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to predict through mega-trends the future developmental characteristics of children and adolescents who will live in the upcoming artificial intelligence era and to explore the school’s tasks in terms of school knowledge. Futures studies consist of defining large information flows that will appear in the future in a specific field as mega-trends. To predict the mega-trends of children and adolescents, the study examined the trend of changes in the developmental characteristics of children and adolescents from the past to the present and conducted two expert panel councils. Through the expert councils, five future mega- trends of child and youth development (changes in physical structure and function, changes in neurophysiology, cognition and learning, increase in mental health problems and emotional vulnerabilities, individualization, personalization, and diversified lifestyles, and digital networking) were derived, and 187 knowledge items were developed. For the knowledge items, two Delphi surveys were conducted to identify appropriate knowledge elements judged by experts. As a result of analysis, 4 characteristics of future school knowledge according to the child and adolescent mega-trends were identified: all knowledge elements (knowledge, skills, and value/attitude) were evenly emphasized, convergent/de-boundary characteristics between school subjects stood out, emotional education was emphasized, and finally, scores on the items related to posthumanism were relatively low. In conclusion, changes are expected to be made to the curriculum so that human and non-human beings jointly create new knowledge based on their respective agencies and co-construct a meaningful world where they can participate in useful practices.
