국문 초록

기후 문제는 지구에 살고 있는 모든 생명체의 생존에 관한 문제이다. 그러나 그 원인은 모든 생명체가 아닌 인간의 문제로 국한된다. 이러한 상황을 근원적으로 분석할 필요가 있다. 즉 인과율의 법칙에 따라 근원적 원인을 발견하고 극복해야 한다. 그렇지 않다면 어떤 기술적 해결방안과 정책적 결정도 해결의 효과를 발휘하기 어렵다. 아무리 좋은 기술과 해결방안도 결국 인간의 결정을 통해 행위로 발현되기 때문이다. 기후 문제의 근원적 원인은 인간의 욕망이 산업화 이후 지구의 생존 자체를 위협할 만큼 힘을 지닌데 있다. 그리고 이 산업화는 자본주의와 연합하면서 더 강력한 힘을 소유하게 되었다. 이제는 자본의 욕망이 인간의 욕망을 지배하는 지경에 이르렀다. 이에 본 연구는 인간의 욕망을 현시대적 욕망 구조에서 그리스도교적 욕망 구조로의 변경을 문제 해결 방안으로 제시하고자 한다. 그리스도교적 욕망 구조란 기독론에 근거한 존재론을 의미한다. 이에 본 연구는 기독론에 근거한 존재론으로 키에르케고어의 기독교적 신앙 실존을 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 키에르케고어의 기독론적 신앙 실존에 대한 논의를 위해, 그의 실존의 세 양태를 기술하고 이를 토대로 현대적 주체의 욕망 구조를 간략하게 분석한다. 둘째, 키에르케고어의 기독론적 신앙 실존에 대한 구체적 논의를 통해 기후 위기의 극복을 위한 기독론적 존재론을 발견하고자 한다. 키에르케고어가 분석한 그리스도의 길, 즉 기독론의 핵심은 철저히 타자를 향한 삶이다. 욕망의 방향이 자기 삶의 풍족함이 아닌 타자의 존재적 풍족함으로 향하고 있음을 발견할 수 있다. 이것을 기독교적 주체의 개별 삶으로 이행함으로 자본주의적 욕망 구조에서 벗어나 타자에 대한 풍요 즉, 자연에 대한 풍요를 위해 헌신하는 욕망 구조의 변경을 주장하고자 한다. 이러한 욕망의 변경을 통해 그리스도교와 교회의 본질인 타자를 위한 교회로 나아가길 바란다.

영문 초록

The current climate crisis concerns the survival of all life on Earth. However, the cause of this crisis only pertains to humanity. This calls for a need for a fundamental analysis of the current phenomenon. In other words, the root cause of the crisis must be identified and removed by applying the Law of Causality. Otherwise, any technical solutions or political decisions to tackle the issue would be ineffective. Ultimately, the outcome of advanced technology or well-founded policies to overcome the issue would be dependent on the actions of human decision-making. The root cause of the climate crisis stems from human desires that are powerful enough to threaten the very existence of the Earth post-Industrialization. Furthermore, Industrialization combined with capitalism became even more powerful to pose a more significant threat. Nowadays, the desire for capital has dominated basic human desires. Therefore, this study suggests the switch to the Christian desire structure as a solution to the climate crisis instead of the current secular structure of desire. The Christian desire structure refers to the structure based on Christian ontology. Applying the above concept, this study aims to present Kierkegaard’s Christian existentialism as a model of Christian ontology to reform the human desire structure to resolve the climate crisis. First, the study discusses three major aspects of Kierkegaard’s Christian existentialism to analyze the modern human desire structure. Secondly, the study then critically discusses Kierkegaard’s Christian existentialism to present an ontological stance to overcome the climate crisis. The core concept of Christianity, the way of Christ as analyzed by Kierkegaard, is a life for others. The direction of the desires is committed to others’ existential abundance rather than their own abundant life. Therefore, the author argues for the switch of the desire structure that is dedicated to others’ abundance and well-being i.e. Nature rather than pursuing capitalist human desires by implementing the way of Christ on an individual level. The author hopes that the shift in desires may reinforce the essence of Christianity and the church – life for others.
