국문 초록

니체는 우정에 대해 사유한 근대의 몇 안 되는 사상가에 속하기 때문에 고대 그리스의 철학적 담론을 새롭게 구성했다고 평가받는다. 이와는 반대로 니체가 아리스토텔레스의 우정론을 해체했다는 주장도 제기되고 있다. 따라서 논자는 그리스적 우정의 복원이냐, 우정의 해제냐의 물음과 관련해 니체의 텍스트에 드 러난 논거의 정합성과 모순을 밝혀보고 ‘적과 동지’라는 정치적인 대립관계를 아 곤을 통해 새롭게 풀어내고자 한다. 이 글은 니체의 이상적인 우정의 조건을 친구들 사이의 ‘공동목적’과 그것을 성취하는 과정에서 획득되는 ‘공동기쁨’으로 전제하고, ‘초인’이라는 공동목적을 함께 달성하기 위해 친구 안에 잠재된 가능성을 최대한 실현하도록 돕기 위해 ‘아곤’이라는 그리스의 경쟁의 원칙을 도입한다. 이러한 경쟁을 통한 자기완성의 과정에서 친구와 적이라는 고정된 이분법의 구분이 사라지고, 두 개념이 교환 가능한 것으로 간주된다. 이 글은 ‘완전주의’ 윤리와 관련해 우정에 대한 니체의 다양한 규정을 분석하고 니체가 파악한 우정의 정치적 함의를 해체론의 관점에 서 읽는 데리다의 입장을 비판적으로 고찰하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Because Nietzsche is one of the few modern thinkers who contemplated friendship, he is able to newly construct and evaluate the philosophical discourse of ancient Greece. There are also claims that Nietzsche dismantled Aristotle’s theory of friendship. However, I try to uncovers the consistency and contradiction of the arguments revealed in Nietzsche’s text in relation to the question of whether to restore or cancel the Greek friendship in political meaning of ‘agon’. This article presupposes Nietzsche’s ideal conditions for friendship as a ‘common goal’ between friends and ‘shared joy’ acquired in the process of achieving it, and explores the possibility in friends to achieve the common goal of ‘Übermensch’ together. In order to help make the most of it, we introduce the ancient Greek principle of competition called ‘agon’. In the process of self-completion through such competition, the fixed dichotomy of friend and enemy disappears, and the two concepts are regarded as interchangeable. This article will analyze Nietzsche’s various interpretation of friendship in relation to the ethics of perfectionism and critically examine Derrida’s position, reading the Nietzsche friendship from the perspective of deconstruction.
