국문 초록

『지각의 현상학』은 프랑스에서 ‘신체의 현상학’을 탐구하기 시작한 첫 번째 저서이다. 현상학에서 주요 논의 중 하나는 의식의 지향성이다. 이 의식은 항상 무엇에 대한 의식이다. 따라서 대상의 문제가 주된 논의가 되기도 한다. 메를로-퐁티에서 보면 이 ‘의식하는 나’는 ‘지각하는 신체’로 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 ‘지각하는 신체’인 ‘신체-주체’의 의미를 좇아보며 왜 신체를 통해 세계와의 구도를 해명하려 했는지 살펴보고, 현상학에서 요점이 되는 ‘타인’은 어떻게 가능한지, 메를로-퐁티의 신체-주체론을 통해 알아본다. 또한, 신체-주체론을 이용하여 주어져 있는 자연적 세계를 어떻게 문화적 세계로의 이행을 말하는지 그 의미를 추적해보고, 마지막으로 이번 연구를 통해 나와 타인을 포함한 우리의 문화적 세계에서 메를로-퐁티의 ‘상호주체성(intersubjectivité)’이라는 개념과 살(chair) 개념이 갖는 함의가 현대 문화이론에서 다루는 ‘상호문화주의(interculturalism)’를 정초하는지 밝혀본다.

영문 초록

The Phenomenology of Perception is the first book to explore 'phenomenology of the body' in France. One of the main discussions in phenomenology is the directivity of consciousness. This consciousness is always a consciousness of something. Therefore, the object matter becomes the main topic of discussion. In Merleau-Ponty, this 'I conscious' appears as a 'perceiving body', In this thesis, we follow the meaning of 'body-subject', which is a 'perceiving body', and examine why they tried to explain the composition of the world through the body, how 'others', which is the main point in phenomenology, are possible, and Merleau-Ponty's Let's find out through the body-subject theory. In addition, using the body-subject theory, we trace the meaning of how the given natural world is transferred to the cultural world, and finally, through this study, Merleau-Ponty's 'intersubjectivity' in our cultural world including myself and others. It will be investigated whether the concept of 'intersubjectivité' and the meaning of the concept of flesh are the foundation of 'interculturalism' dealt with in modern cultural theory.
