국문 초록

김대중의 지식정보화 시대의 실현과 문화산업 정책은 한류가 발전하는데 중요한 물적 토대로 작용하였으며, 그의 분단극복과 세계 상생·평화 정책은 한을 멋과 신명으로 승화·발산하는데 중요한 역할을 하였다. 현재 미완으로 남아 있는 김대중의 사상과 정책들은 이제 한류에 의해서 완성될 수 있는 그러한 가능성이 제시되고 있다. 한류 스타들과 국제 팬덤의 세계의 빈곤 극복과 인종차별 철폐, 지구 살리기 운동 등 초국적 활동들은 세계시민주의를 실현할 수 있는 역량을 설득력 있게 보여주고 있다. 한류에 대한 이러한 측면의 심도 있는 이해는 앞으로 한국과 세계가 가야 할 방향을 위해 한류의 세계사적 역할을 위해 절실히 필요하다. 한류 전문가들이 주목하고 있는 한류에 의한 ‘가상 국가(virtual nation)’가 지금까지의 민족주의·국가주의를 반복하지 않고, 세계시민주의를 실현하면서 글로벌 민주주의·평화·상생의 공동체 완성의 방향으로 진행해 갈 수 있도록 적극적으로 함께 고민할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Kim Dae-jung's realization of the knowledge-information age and cultural industry policy acted as an important material foundation for the development of the Korean Wave, and his overcoming Korean peninsula division and world coexistence and peace policy played an important role in sublimating and radiating Korea into fashion and spirit. Kim Dae-jung's unfinished policies are now presented with such a possibility that they can be completed by the Hallyu. Hallyu stars and international fandoms are demonstrating their ability to realize global citizenship with the successful movements of Overcoming World Poverty, Ending Racial Discrimination, and Saving the Earth. An in-depth understanding of this aspect of the Korean Wave is desperately needed for its world-historical role in the future direction in which Korea and the world should go. It is necessary to actively consider together so that the "virtual nation" caused by the Korean Wave, which is being noted by Korean Wave experts, does not repeat the hitherto nationalism, but can proceed in the direction of the completion of a global democracy, peace, and win-win community while realizing global citizenship.
