국문 초록

본 연구는 사회통일교육의 내용과 방향에 관한 연구이다. 사회통일교육은 학교 밖의 일반 국민을 대상으로 하는 통일교육이라 사실 통일교육의 영역 중 가장 중요한 영역을 차지하고 있다고 하겠다. 사회통일교육은 학교통일교육과 더불어 통일교육의 양대 축을 형성하고 있다. 사회통일교육은 국민 상호 간에 통일에 대한 분열적 인식에서 벗어나 민족공동체의식 하에 정부와 사회 간의 소통과 조화를 도모할 수 있는 교육영역이라고 할 수 있다. 그래서 사회통일교육의 내용과 방향의 모색을 위해 필자는 기본적인 인식을 제시하였는데, 첫째, 평화에 대한 인식 둘째, 통일문제에 대한 인식 마지막으로 통일조국의 미래상에 대한인식이다. 이러한 인식 하에 본 논문에서 제시하고 있는 사회통일교육의 내용에 대해 간략하게 언급하면 다음과 같다. 사회통일교육의 내용은 첫째, 한반도분단체제의 성격을 이해할 수 있는 내용을 지적하였다. 한반도분단체제가 지니고 있는 정확한 성격에 대한 이해는 사회통일교육의 내용으로서 가장 기본적인 것이라고 할 수 있다. 둘째, 대한민국의 정체성을 확고하게 고취하는 내용을 지적하였다. 마지막으로 보편성에 입각한 통일의 의미와 방향성에 대한 내용을 언급하였다.

영문 초록

This study is aimed to analyse the content and direction of the society’s unification education. The society’s unification education is the unification education aimed to appeal to the public outside of school. Therefore, it covers the key areas of he unification education. The society’s unification education forms the one of two axis with the school’s unification education. It is the scope of education cultivating a good will and harmony between the government and the people. I has submitted the basic recognition to analyse the content and direction of the society’s unification education. First, it is the recognition of peace. Second, it is the recognition of the problem of unification. Third, it is the recognition of image of the future in unified korean community. With this recognition, the contents of the society’s unification education are as follows; First, the content of the society’s unification education is the content understanding the character of the Korean Peninsular division's system.. To understand the character of the Korean Peninsular division's system is the basic element of the society’s unification education. Second, I says the content promoting the national identity.
