구약 인물들의 소생과 예수 부활의 의미 차에 관한 성서신학적 고찰

국문 초록

현대 많은 성서학자들은 ‘소생’과 ‘부활’이라는 차별적 용어 사용을 통하여, 예수 부활의 유일성과 탁월함을 명료하게 드러낸다. 그러나 수 세기동안 학자들은 예수의 부활과 다른 인물들의 소생 모두를 ‘부활’이라는 하나의 범주 안에서 함께 고찰하고 그 유사점과 차이점을 연구해왔고, 이러한 사실은 예수 사건의 독보적 의미를 단지 차별적 용어 사용만으로 온전히 설명할 수는 없음을 방증한다. 본고는 전통적으로 예수 부활 사건의 예표로 일컬어지는 엘리야와 엘리사의 소생 사화를(1열왕 17,17-24; 2열왕 4,18-37) 본문 차원에서 예수의 부활 사건과 비교하고 여기서 발견되는 모종의 ‘내용상의 불완전 요소들’을 예수의 경우와 대비시키는 방법으로, 예수 부활의 탁월성을 조명한다. 예수의 부활은, 인간의 중개 없이 하느님께서 하신 위업, 부활 과정을 직접 목격한 증인의 부재로 인한 신비성과 초월성, 부활 사건의 주도권을 지닌 예수, 부활한 예수의 역동적 활동, 부활 사건을 체험한 이들의 삶에 일어난 변화, 더 이상의 죽음 없는 영원한 생명 등, 다른 인물들의 소생 사건과는 비교할 수 없는 독창적인 의미와 영원한 구원의 가치를 지닌다. 부활은 죽은 이의 소생, 즉 지상적 현 존재가 지닌 조건의 회복이 아니고, 다시 죽을 수밖에 없는 생명으로의 복귀(썩어 없어질 육신을 다시 취하는 것)도 아니다. 부활은 근원적으로 새롭고 파괴할 수 없는 생명의 시작으로서, 오직 예수 그리스도를 통해 계시되고 실현된 것이다. 예수 부활은 그를 믿는 그리스도인들에게까지 확장되는 영원한 생명의 종말론적 실재이기에, 예수가 부활하였고 다시는 죽지 않는다는 사실을 신앙하는 모든 이들은 결국 예수와 같은 영원한 실존을 얻게 된다는 영원한 약속을 믿고 고백한다.

영문 초록

Many biblical scholars in modern times reveal clearly the uniqueness and excellence of Jesus’ resurrection by using differently the terms ‘resurrection’ and ‘resuscitation’. For centuries, however, scholars have considered both the resurrection of Jesus and the resuscitation of other characters within the same category of ‘resurrection’ and studied their similarities and differences, and this fact proves that the unique meaning of Jesus’ case cannot be fully explained only by using different terms. This article compares the resuscitation narratives of Elijah and Elisha(1Kings 17,17-24; 2Kings 4,18-37), traditionally considered as antitypes of the Jesus’ resurrection, with the Jesus’ case at the textual level and contrasts their ‘incomplete elements in context’ with aspects of Jesus’ resurrection. The resurrection of Jesus has a unique meaning and eternal value that cannot be compared with the resuscitation events, such as the deed of God without human intermediation, the mystery and transcendence due to the absence of first-hand witnesses to the resurrection process, the initiative of Jesus in the resurrection, the dynamic activities of the risen Jesus and the changes in the life of those who experienced the resurrection event. The Resurrection is not the resuscitation of the dead, that is, the recovery of the conditions of the earthly present existence, nor the return to life that is bound to die again(taking back the body that will perish). It is the beginning of a essentially new and indestructible life, revealed and realized only through Jesus Christ. Since the resurrection of Jesus is the eschatological reality of eternal life that extends to all Christians who believe in Him, everyone who believes in the fact that Jesus is resurrected and never dies again is convinced of the eternal promise that they will eventually get the eternal existence like Jesus.
