나주 복암리 아파트형 고분의 피장자 실체에 관한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 나주 복암리 아파트형 고분의 특성을 추출하여 이러한 특성에 부합하는 씨족의 실체를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 나주 복암리 고분은 ① 영산강 유역의 개방적이고 진취적인 정복세력, ② 장기간(400년)에 걸쳐 최고위급관리를 배출한 세력, ③ 철기 등 선진 무기를 갖춘 무장세력, ④ 가야 및 왜와 친연성을 갖춘 세력 등의 특성을 갖추고 있다. 영산강 세력이 대거 등장하는 중국『남제서』 동성왕조의 여러 세력을 비교 검토한 결과 백제 대성팔족 중 하나인 목씨 세력이 네 가지 특성을 모두 만족하는 것으로 나타나 이들이 나주 아파트형고분의 피장자인 것으로 추정되었다. 목씨 세력은 3세기의 목라근자 이후 7세기까지 꾸준히 최고위급 관리를 배출하는 등 엄청난 영향력을 행사했다. 가야정벌과 임나건국, 한성백제 멸망 이후웅진백제 재건, 임나 통치, 성왕기 백제조정의 고위관료 진출, 열도 천황가를 장악한 소아씨 등을 통해 목씨 씨족은 백제와 가야, 열도에서 수없이 많은 고위관리를 배출하였다. 이들은 철기로 무장한 세력으로서 해양 분야에 특화된 군벌집단이었다. 이들은 마한 진왕의 명령을 수행하기 위해 수시로 군대를 동원하는등 막강한 정치군사적 영향력을 행사하였다. 끝으로, 가야 지역에 임나국을 건설하고, 열도에서는 100년 이상 천황가를 능가하는 권력을 행사한 것으로 나타났다. 『삼국사기』에 목협만치로 최초로 등장한 목씨 세력은 그 일부가 열도로 이주하였는데, 후손인 소아입록의 성씨가 임씨라는 사실이 『일본서기』에 기록되어 있다. 이와 더불어 복암리 3호분 96석실분에서 출토된 5세기말~6세기초 물고기문양의 금동신발과 매우 유사한 금동신발이 1세기 후 열도의 아스카 시대를 주도한 소아마자의 전성기에 조영된 후지노키 고분에서 출토되었다. 일본의 고대지배계층의 족보인 『신찬성씨록』에는 백제 출신 임씨가 백제 목귀공의 후손으로등장한다. 이러한 문헌자료와 물질적 근거뿐만 아니라 현재 나주 회진에는 우리나라 임씨의 양대 가문 중 하나인 나주 임씨들이 본관을 두고 있으며, 현재에도 나주 회진에 집성촌을 이루며 살고 있다. 이상의 결과를 통해 이 연구에서는 나주 복암리 아파트형 고분의 피장자가 백제 대성팔족 중 하나인 목씨이고, 나주 임씨는고고학적 유물의 후손임을 입증하는 증인이라는 점을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the reality of clans that meet the characteristics which were extracted by examining Naju Bokam-ri apartment-type tombs. The tombs have four characteristics. First, the people buried in the tombs are open and enterprising conquest forces in the Yeongsan River basin. Second, they have consequently produced top-level offficials over 400 years. Third, they were armed forces with advanced weapons, including iron. Finally, the clans were forces with close ties to Gaya and Wai. As a result of comparing and examining various forces of the King Dongseong dynasty in the “Namjeseo” of China, it was estimated that the Mok clan, one of the Baekje great eight clans, satisfied all four characteristics. The force of the Mok clan had a tremendous influence, including the steady production of top-level officials until the 7th century after Mokrageunja of the third century. The representative examples are as follows: the conquest of the Gaya dynasty and the establishing the Imna Kingdom, and the restoration of Woongjin Baekje after the fall of the Hanseong Baekje, the rule of the Imna, the appointment of the high-ranking officials in the Baekje dynasty of the King Seong, and the Soa clan which took control of the Emperor of ancient Japan. Mokhyeopmanchi who appeared first in the “Samguksagi” was one of the Mok clan to migrate to the ancient Japan. It is recorded in the “The Japanese text Nihonshoki” that the descendent of Mokhyeopmanchi, Soaiprok’s surname was Lim. In addition, the gold-bronze shoes similar to the gold-bronze shoes of the fish patterns in the late 5th and early 6th centuries excavated from the Bokam-ri tombs, were excavated from Fujinoki tombs, which were built in the heyday of the Sohamaza, who led the Asuka era of the ancient Japan. In “Shin Chan Sung Sirok”, Lim from Baekje appears as a descendant of Baekje Mokgwigong. At present Naju Lim, one of the two families of Lim in Korea still lives in Naju Hoejin as a residential village. The result of this study shows that Mok clans were the buried people of Naju apartment-type tombs and Naju Im clan is a witness who proves that they are descendants of archaeological artifacts.
