유아교육 전공 대학원생 엄마의 어려움

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교육을 전공으로 하여 대학원에 재학하며 자녀의 양육을 병행하는 참여자를 대상으로 하였으며, 학업과 양육을 병행하며 느끼는 어려움을 살펴보고자 하였다. 참여자 면담은 코로나 19의 특수한 상황으로 인해 비대면 전화면담으로 1, 2, 3차에 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 연구의 결과로 참여자가 느끼는 어려움은 크게 물리적 어려움과 심리적 어려움으로 구분하여 나타나고 있었으며, 물리적 어려움에는 대리양육 과정의 어려움, 신체적 어려움, 시간적 어려움으로 나타났으며, 심리적 어려움에는 아이에 대한 걱정과 미안함, 교육신념과 양육현실의 괴리, 학업에 대한 조바심과 불안함, 두 가지 선택에 대한 자책감으로 나타났다. 엄마 대학원생이 느끼는 어려움과 부담의 가중을 감소시키기 위해 학업과 육아 양립에 대한 관심과 지원과 대학원생 엄마에 대한 모성비난과 전통적인 인식의 개선, 부담을 덜어줄 정서적 상담 지원이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study targeted participants who attended graduate school majoring in early childhood education and raised their children at the same time, and attempted to examine the difficulties they felt while studying and raising their children at the same time. Participant interviews were conducted over the first, second, and third times through non-face-to-face phone interviews due to the special situation of COVID-19. As a result of the study, the difficulties felt by the participants were largely divided into physical and psychological difficulties, physical difficulties, and temporal difficulties. In order to reduce the difficulties and burdens felt by mother graduate students, interest and support for both academic and parenting are needed, improvement of maternal criticism and traditional perceptions of graduate students' mothers, and emotional counseling support to ease the burden on them.
