[논문발표문 1] 코칭학의 현재와 미래 : 코칭학, 무엇을 연구할 것인가?

국문 초록

본 연구는 코칭 연구에 관한 현주소를 파악하고, 나아가 코칭이 하나의 독자적인 학문 분야로 자리 잡는데 필요한 연구과제들을 탐색하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 코칭 관련 선행 연구들과 코칭동향 분석 논문들을 살펴본 후에, 학술적·실용적·교육적 측면에서 향후 추가로 연구해야할 과제들을 도출했다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학술적 측면에서 코칭의 기본적인 개념과 성격, 코칭의 구성요인과 세부 요소들, 코칭 효과의 깊이와 범위 확대, 코칭 언어와 용어의 정리와 표준화, 코칭 리더십의 구성개념과 구성요소 및 척도개발, 양적 연구와 질적 연구의 통합 등과 같은 연구과제들이 도출되었다. 둘째, 실용적 측면의 연구과제들은 코치들과 연구자들의 산학 협력체제 구축, 코치의 역량 향상을 통한 전문성 제고 방안 마련, 코치 자격의 공신력 확보와 관련 제도의 신뢰성 제고 방안 등이다. 마지막으로, 교육적 측면의 연구과제들은 코칭 전문가 양성을 위한 표준교육모델 마련, 코치 인증 프로그램을 평가할 합리적인 기준 마련 등이다. 향후 이런 연구과제들에 관한 다각적이고 꾸준한 연구가 진행된다면, 코칭학의 이론체계나 토대 구축은 한층 쉬워질 것이다. 본 연구는 코칭학의 체계적인 토대 구축에 필요한 여러 가지 연구주제들을 제시했다는 점에서 의미 있는 진전을 가져왔다. 하지만 연구자의 주관성을 완전히 배제하지 못한 한계도 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the current status of coaching research and further explore the research tasks necessary for coaching to establish itself as an independent academic field. To this end, after examining previous coaching studies and coaching trend analysis papers, tasks to be further studied in the future were derived from academic, practical, and educational aspects. The result is as follows. First, research tasks in the academic aspect include basic concept and characteristics of coaching, the factors of coaching and detailed elements, expanding the depth and scope of the coaching effects, organizing and standardizing coaching language and terminology, coaching leadership constricts and components, scale development of coaching leadership, integration of quantitative and qualitative research, etc. Second, research tasks in the practical aspect include establishing an industry-university cooperation system between coaches and researchers, preparing a plan to enhance professionalism by improving the coach's competency, securing public confidence in the coach's qualifications, and enhancing the reliability of related systems. Lastly, the research tasks in the educational aspect are to prepare a standard education model for nurturing coaching experts, and to prepare reasonable standards for evaluating coach certification programs. If multifaceted and steady research on these research tasks is conducted in the future, it will be easier to establish a theoretical system or foundation for coachology. This study made significant progress in that it presented various research topics necessary for establishing a systematic foundation for coachology. However, there are limitations that do not completely exclude the subjectivity of this researcher.
