국문 초록

오늘날 동화 속 <오즈의 마법사>에 나오는 허수아비는 인간이 가진 신체의 일부를 원했다. 허수아비는 인간처럼 생각할 수 있는 두뇌를 가지고 싶어 했다. 허수아비 자신은 생각하는 능력을 가지게 된다면, 세상을 바라보는 가치관을 가질수 있을 것이라고 믿었다. 트랜스 휴먼 시대에 허수아비는 그 소원을 이룰 수 있게 될 것이다. 허수아비는 기계로 만든 두뇌를 이식하면 충분히 인간과 같이 생각할 수 있게 될 것이다. 트랜스휴먼 시대를 맞이하면서 인간의 신체는 기능주의로 이해되고, 그 기능을대신할 다양한 보철이나 기계는 인간의 몸을 대신하기 시작했다. 이 글은 신체속 연장된 기관이 사라지고 그 자리를 기능적 측면을 강조한 기계와 보철로 대신하면서 나타나는 윤리적 문제를 말하고 있다. 이 글은 몸 속 기관이 점점 기능주의로 대체되는 것에 대한 문제 인식을 가지고 접근한다. 무엇보다도 이 글은 영화 <오즈의 마법사>와 <공각기동대>를 통해 기관의 기능적 환원주의를 비판하고 있다.

영문 초록

The scarecrow from the fairy tale [The Wizard of Oz] wanted a part of the human body. The scarecrow wanted to have a brain that could think like a human. The scarecrow himself believed that if he had the ability to think, he would be able to have the values of seeing the world. In the transhuman age, scarecrow will able to fulfill their wishes. If the scarecrow is implanted with a machine-made brain, he will be able to think like a human enough. In the age of transhuman, the human body is understood as functionalism, and various prostheses and machines that will replace the function have begun to take the place of the human body. This article discusses the ethical issues that arise as extended organs in the body disappear and replace them with machines and prostheses that emphasized the functional aspect. This article approaches with awareness of the problem that the organs in the body are gradually being replaced by functionalism. Above all This article criticizes the organs's functional reductionism through the films The Wizard of Oz and Ghost in the Shell.
