국문 초록

오늘날 도시환경은 나날이 향상되고 있으며, 각 도시에서는 도시환경 개선과 발전에 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이처럼 도시환경에 대한 인식의 변화와 중요성이 대두되면서 현대미술에서는‘환경미술’이라는 새로운 분야를 등장시킴에 따라 여러 예술분야에서는 환경미술로 그영역을 확대해 나가고자 한다. 도자예술분야에서도 ‘환경도자’라는 새로운 패러다임에 맞춰흙을 활용한 다양한 시도가 나타나고 있는데, 자연친화적인 소재이면서도 소성방법에 따라 내구성이 강해질 수 있는 반영구적 특성을 가진 흙은 실외공간에도 사용이 가능하여 환경조형물의 소재로 유용하다. 그 중 ‘도자벽화’는 실내외 공공장소에서 특별히 별도의 공간을 요하지않으면서도 기존 벽체에 아주 작은 장식적 요소부터 대형벽화 작업에 이르기까지 표현이 가능하여 환경미술로서 효과가 높으며, 기존의 산업소재가 주는 느낌과 상반된 흙이 주는 자연스러운 미와 정서적인 안정감으로 가치 있는 환경미술로서 평가 받는다. 이처럼 환경도자벽화는 표현 방식과 주변 공간과의 상호작용을 통해 여러 가지 환경조형물로서의 가치와 역할을 할 수있으며, 하나의 역할보다 여러 가지의 역할이 연결되어 계획되어질 때 그 효과가 이상적으로나타난다. 지역도시 김해시에도 환경 개선이 필요한 공공장소에 대해 개선사업의 일환으로 오염되고 낙후된 벽체 개선을 추진하였으며, 이에 본 연구에서는‘도자’소재의 우수성을 표현할 수 있는‘환경도자벽화’를 제안하여 실현함으로서 다양한 보존적 가치와 표현적 가치를 가진 환경도자벽화의 역할과 가치에 대해 고찰하고 재조명해보고자 하는 바이다.

영문 초록

Today, the urban environment is improving day by day, and because modern people want to live in a more pleasant environment, in each city, great efforts are made to improve and develop the urban environment. As a result of this change in the perception of the urban environment and increase in importance, a new field called environmental art emerged in contemporary art, and in various fields of art, it is desired to expand the field to environmental art. In the field of ceramics, various attempts have been made to utilize the soil in accordance with the new paradigm of environmental ceramics , and soil, which is environmentally friendly and has semi-permanent characteristics that can be strengthened in durability with the colloid firing method, can also be used in outdoor spaces and is useful as a material for environmental sculptures. Among them, ceramic murals do not require any special space in the indoor and outdoor public spaces, and it is effective as environmental art because it can express from a very small decorative element to a large wall painting on existing walls, and it is appreciated as a valuable environmental art through its natural feeling and emotional stability feeling of the contrast of the existing industrial materials and soil that exhibit contradictory character. In addition, ceramic murals can act as a variety of environmental sculptures through the interaction of expression with surrounding space, and it creates ideal effect when multiple roles are planned in conjunction rather than one role. Therefore, in this study, through the actual production and installation of ceramic murals, the aim is to examine the changes it can bring to the urban environment and verify the possibilities as environmental sculptures.
