국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중년기 외로움과 사회관계 간의 경로에서 성별, 1인 가 구의 조절효과를 확인하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 활용하였 다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1인 가구는 일반 가구보다 가 족연락횟수가 적었고, 또 가족관계 만족도도 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사 회관계만족이 외로움에 영향을 미치는 효과는 성별에 따라 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 남성은 여성에 비해 사회관계에 대한 만족이 클수록 외로움이 더 많이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가족 구성에 따라 가족연락횟수와 가족관계 만족이 외로움에 미치는 효과는 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적 으로 일반 가구는 가족연락 횟수가 증가할수록 외로움이 감소하였고, 1인 가 구의 경우에는 가족관계 만족이 커질수록 외로움이 감소하는 것으로 나타났 다. 이러한 결과에 근거하여, 이론적·실천적 논의와 제안이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to examine he moderating effect of gender and single-person households on the path between middle-aged loneliness and social relationships. For this purpose, hierarchical regression analysis was used. The main results of this study are as follows. First, single-person households had fewer family contacts than general households, and their satisfaction with family relationships was also low. Second, it found that the effect of social relationship satisfaction on loneliness was to vary according to gender. In other words, it found that the greater the satisfaction with social relationships, the greater the decrease in loneliness in men than in women. Third, the effect of the number of family contacts and satisfaction with family relationships on loneliness varies according to family composition. Specifically, in general households, loneliness decreased as the number of family contacts increased, and in the case of single-person households, loneliness decreased as family relationship satisfaction increased. Based on these results, theoretical and practical discussions and suggestions are presented.
