중도입국 청소년을 위한 한국어 교육의 연구 동향 분석(2011-2021)

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중도입국 청소년이 한국 사회에 빠르게 적응하는 데에 도움이 되는 한국어 교육 연구의 방향성을 제시하는 데에 있다. 이를 위하여 먼저 2011년부터 2021년까지 학술정보 서비스(RISS)와 국회도서관 홈페이지에 등재된 국내 석사학위 논문 및 박사학위 논문과 학술지 논문(KCI 등재)에서 총 98편의 논문을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 다음으로 중도입국 청소년에 대한 한국어 교육 연구 동향을 파악하기 위하여 연도·유형별, 연구 방법별, 연구 주제별로 분석 기준을 세우고 연구물을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지난 10년 동안 다른 외국인을 대상으로 한 한국어 교육 연구보다 연구 편수가 많지 않았다. 둘째, 혼합 연구가 주를 이루고 있었고, 특히, 양적 연구에서 설문 조사 연구가 다수 이루어졌다. 셋째, 교재 분석을 통한 교재 개발에 관한 연구가 대부분이었다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 향후 중도입국 청소년에 대한 한국어 교육 관련 연구가 나아가야 할 방향을 세 가지 측면에서 제시하였다. 첫째, 연구의 질적인 측면을 고려할 때 기초 연구를 토대로 질적인 연구가 활발하게 이루어져야 할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 중도입국 청소년의 한국어 능력 향상과 함께 학교 적응에 필요한 공교육 중심의 통합적인 한국어 교재 개발이 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 중도입국 청소년들이 한국 사회에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 한국 문화 및 모국 문화를 다양한 측면에서 조명하고 교육해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the direction of Korean language education research that helps migrant youths quickly adapt to Korean society. To this end, a total of 98 papers were selected as the subjects of the study starting from 2011 to 2021. The research has been conducted on domestic master thesis, doctoral thesis, and academic journal thesis (KCI registered) available on the website of the National Assembly Library. Next, in order to understand the trend of Korean language education research for migrant youths, analysis criteria were established and analyzed by: year, type, research method, and research subject. The analysis results are as follows. First, over the past 10 years, in comparison to other foreigner targeted studies, there were not many research studies related to Korean language education. Most of the studies were concerning multidisciplinary aspects and in particular, a number of survey studies have been conducted on a quantitative base. Third, the majority of the studies were focused on the development of textbooks through textbook analysis. Based on the analysis results, three aspects are suggested as directions for future research related to Korean language education for migrant youths. First, after considering the qualitative aspect of the studies, it is necessary to actively conduct qualitative research centered on basic research. Second, it is necessary to improve migrant youths’ Korean language skills and to develop integrated Korean textbooks focused on public education necessary for their adaptation to the Korean school system. Third, for the sake of migrant youths to adapt to Korean society, migrant youths should be educated and examined on various aspects of Korean culture.
