국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 현재까지 중국인 유학생을 대상으로 하는 한국인의 가치문화교육이나 학업에 중점을 두고 있는 연구들과 달리, 더 나아가 상호 문화적 접근을 위한 재한 중국인 유학생들의 가치관의 현황을 다루는 것에 있다. 중국인 학습자의 가치체계를 파악하여 이를 통해 실제 한국어 교육현장에서의 기초 자료로 제공하고자 한다. 재한 중국 유학생들이 어떤 가치문화를 가지고 있는지 어떤 한국 문화에 큰 차이를 느끼는지를 알아봄으로써 양국의 문화이해에도 도움이 되고 한국어와 중국어 교육현장에서 가치문화를 수월하게 가르치는 밑바탕이 될 수 있다는 데 있다. 이 연구에서는 한국과 중국인의 가치문화를 연구하기 위해 가족주의와 집단주의, 그리고 권위주의를 중심으로 다룰 것이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 학문 목적으로 온 재한 중국 유학생들은 대상으로 조사하였다. 설문에 참여한 학생들은 총139명이며 (여자 76 명, 남자 63 명) 설문 조사는 2020년 5월 25일부터 6월 3일까지 10일 간에 진행되었다. 중국의 집단주의, 가족주의, 권위주의의 가치를 분석하기 위해 거주 기간을 포함해 크게 세 가지 부분으로 구분하여 파악하였다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 중국의 집단주의와 가족주의 가치는 젊은 대학생들에게 아직도 많은 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인해 볼 수 있었다. 특히 그중 ‘효’와 ‘어른 공경’에 대한 수용 정도가 높았으며 유교 문화는 현대에도 뿌리 깊게 남아 있음을 알 수 있다. 그리고 ‘집단 이익 중시’에서 국가 이익을 위한 희생에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 가지고 있다는 것도 알 수 있다. 그러나 ‘가장 권위주의’, ‘성차별’에 대한 강한 부정적인 태도를 보이고 있다. 이를 통해 중국인 학습자들의 특성을 고려하여 그들을 위한 가치문화의 교육의 내용 및 교육 시 교사의 자세와 태도에 대해 제안해 보았다. 이를 바탕으로 한국어 문화교육 현장에서 가치문화로 인한 문화 충돌을 일으키지 않게 유용한 자료를 제공해 보았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to deal with the current status of values of Chinese students in Korea for a mutual cultural approach, different from the existing research focusing on Korean value culture education and targeting Chinese students. It attempts to understand the value system of Chinese learners and provide basic data for the actual Korean language education field. By examining what kind of the value culture Chinese students in Korea have and what kind of the Korean culture they feel, it can help understand each culture of both countries and serve as a basis for easily teaching value culture in Korean and Chinese education sites. It will focus on familism, collectivism, and authoritarianism to study the value culture of Koreans and Chinese. In order to achieve the research purpose, Chinese international students who came for academic purposes were surveyed. A total of 139 students participated in the questionnaire survey which was conducted for 10 days from May 25 to June 3, 2020. In order to analyze the values of collectivism, familism, and authoritarianism in China, it largely divided them into three parts, including the duration of residence. The results of the analysis are summarized to show that the values of collectivism and familism in China still have a great influence on young college students. In particular, the degree of acceptance of filial piety and adult respect was high among them, and that Confucian culture is deeply rooted in modern times. It can be also found that they have a positive attitude toward sacrifices for national interests as collective interests are emphasized . They, however, have a strong negative attitude toward most authoritarianism and sexual discrimination . By considering the characteristics of Chinese learners, it thus proposed the content of value culture education for them and teachers’ desirable stances and attitudes during the education. Hence, it provides useful data for preventing cultural conflicts caused by value culture in the field of Korean culture education.
