영문 초록

This article surveys the aspect of the activities of literary groups during mid eighteenth to nineteenth century when factional strife was intensified. This article deals with literary activities and social intercourse of the northern, southern, patriarch’s and disciple’s factions as well as the jung in(middle class) and seo eol(the underprivileged sons of yangban by secondary wives), and particularly focused on the aspect of their bipartisan literary intercourses. It also mentions social intercourse of Jeong Yakyong in late Joseon and Lee Geonchang and Hwang Hyeon in later Joseon. In mid eighteenth to nineteenth century lots of literary groups were formed not only in Seoul but also in Gyeonggi area. In addition, jung in and seo eol class members and women poets also formed little literary group and associate with yangban class that they formed bipartisan literary groups. However, their literary activities coudn’t but have political meaning. It is common that in Korean history of thought those who left remarkable achievements has an anecdote about meeting an unknown person. They sought academic fellows in a bipartisan way to be the central figure that the literary scene flourish as a result of their mutual interconnections and interactions.
