국문 초록

2000년대를 지나며 신천지 예수교 증거막성전을 필두로 다양한 그리스도교계 분파들이 급속도로 확산되며 다양한 종교적-사회적 문제를 야기하고 있다. 이러한 집단은 지금 우리 시대에서 새롭게 생겨난 것은 아니며, 한국 교회와 사회에 주목을 가져온 그리스도교계 분파들이 신천지 예수교 증거장막성전으로 시작된 것도 아니다. 이미 과거부터 오랜 시간 동안 한국 사회에는 그리스도교신앙을 잘못 받아들이고, 자신들만의 방식으로 곡해하여, 자신을 중심으로 내세운 집단들이 다수 존재했다. 한국 그리스도교계 분파 가운데 종말론적 주장을 펼치는 대부분의 집단들은 그 중심에 천년 왕국설을 내세운다. 천년 왕국설은 본래, 그리스도교 전통에서 그리스도가 영광 속에 다시 도래하리라는 믿음 아래, 그가 세울 왕국을 기다리며, 그 나라에서 그와 함께 부활한 이들이 천 년 동안 사탄을 결박하고 다스릴 것이라는 하느님 나라에 대한 기대였다. 그것은 한 번도 교회에서 공식적으로 받아들여진 적이 없음에도 불구하고, 그리스도교로부터 갈라져 나온 분파들은 그것에 착안하여 지상의 누군가를 재림한, 혹은 재림할 예수로 지정하고, 그는 지상 도래로 왕국을 세워 다스리고, 그의 선택을 받아 그의 집단에 속한 이들은 그리스도와 함께 천 년 동안 왕 노릇을 할 것이라고 주장한다. 그리고 정해진 천년의 기간이 완성되면 자신들을 박해하던 이들은 파멸에 이를 것이고 자신들만이 구원을 얻게 될 것이라고 주장한다. 본 논고는 현대 그리스도교계 분파들, 특별히 한국 그리스도교계 분파들의 천년 왕국설이 어떻게 착안되었는지에 대한 물음에서부터 출발한다. 그리고 그것이 그리스도교 종말론적 신학 아래 무엇이, 어디서부터 잘못되었는지를 분석하여 비판하고자 한다. 이로써 그리스도교 신앙을 고백하는 이들이 그리스도교로부터 갈라져 나와 자신만의 집단을 설립한 이들의 이론에 현혹되지 않고 올바른 종말론적 신앙을 지닐 수 있는 신학적 토대를 모색하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Passing by the 2nd consecutive years, various Christian heresy sects, at the head of Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, rapidly spread out and bring about many religious-social problems. Such sects were not newly occurred in modern era, and these Christian heresy sects which brought attention to Korean church and society were not just started from Shincheonji. From the past, for a long time, there existed many heresy sects who received Christianity in a wrong way, misunderstood in their own ways, and asserted focus on themselves. Among Korean Christian heresy sects, most of the groups asserted the millenarianism at the center. Originally, in Christianity tradition, the millenarianism is under the faith that Christ will come again in glory, waiting for His kingdom, the expectation of the risen ones bound the Satan for 1,000 years and reign with Christ. Even though this was not accepted officially from the Church, but the branched off sects from the Christianity based on that, they designated someone as to the second-coming or to be coming Jesus, then the designated one made and reign the kingdom on the earth, and protest that the people who were chosen by him will be acted like a king for 1,000 years. When the fixed 1,000 years are completed, the ones who persecute them will come to destruct, and only they could achieve the salvation. This study started from the question of how the millenarianism was conceived in modern Christian heresy sects, especially Korean heresy sects. Then try to analyze and criticize, under Christian theology of eschatology, what and from where it became wrong. With this, the one who professes the Christian faith would not be misled from the theory of the branched off and established sects, and seek for the theological foundation to keep the right faith of eschatology.
