잠재성장모형을 적용한 노인의 자원봉사활동이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 삶의 질 변화 형태와 자원봉사활동의 영향을 파악하기 위하여 한국고령화패널 (Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging: KLoSA)의 3·4·5·6·7차 자료를 사용하였다. 분석대상은 2010년 기준 60세 이상 80세 이하 노인으로 2018년까지의 추적조사에 응답한 3,373명이다. 분석결과, 노인의 삶의 만족도는 선형으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 노인의 삶의 질 초기치에 영향을 미치는 요인은 배우자 유무, 교육수준, 종교, 자원봉사활동 초기치로 나타났다. 배우자가 있을수록, 교육수준이 높을수록, 종교가 있을 수록 삶의 만족도 초기치가 높았다. 노인의 자원봉사활동은 삶의 질 초기치와 변화율에 모두 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 자원봉사활동 시간이 많을수록 노인의 삶의 질 초기치가 높았고 변화율이 높았다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인의 삶의 질을 향상에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 자원봉사활동의 활성화를 위한 이론적, 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study used the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th data of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA) to understand the changes in the quality of life of the elderly and the effects of volunteer activities. The subjects of analysis were the elderly aged 60 to 80 years old as of 2010, and 3,373 people who responded to the follow-up survey until 2018. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the life satisfaction of the elderly decreased linearly. Factors affecting the initial values of the elderly s quality of life were the presence of a spouse, educational level, religion, and initial values of volunteer activities. The higher the spouse, the higher the education level, and the higher the religion, the higher the initial values of life satisfaction. The volunteer activities of the elderly had a significant effect on both the initial value and the rate of change of quality of life. The higher the number of volunteer hours, the higher the initial quality of life and the higher the rate of change. Based on the research results, theoretical and practical implications for activating volunteer that have a positive effect on implication the quality of life of the elderly were discussed.
