심청의 홀로서기와 효의 완성*

국문 초록

효이데올로기가 <심청가>를 해석하는데 있어 다양성을 저해하는 요소로 작용하고 있다. 고정된 틀로 고전서사 속 여주인공들을 화석화시키기보다 감추어 있던 모습을 끌어내려 노력하였다. 같지만 다르고, 다르지만 같은 두 이야기 <심청가>와 <삼공본풀이>를 통해 <심청가>의 빈 공간을 채워보는 작업을 진행하였다. <심청가>와 <삼공본풀이>의 비교하며, 용궁과 꽃, 뱃도롱 밑 선그뭇을 통해 여성성을 부각시킨 뒤, 심청의 투신행위를 심청의 의지가 적극적으로 반영된 결과라 보았다. 심청의 길떠남을 희생효에서 벗어나 심청의 나이에 주목하여 소녀에서 여인으로 성장한 모습을 짚었다. 이러한 심청의 적극적인 모습이 결과적으로 효를 행하는 밑거름이 되었는데, 이는 부모의 말을 무조건적으로 따르는 낡은 효가 아닌, 온전한 여성이 되어 성인으로 독립한 심청이 아버지께 바치는 진정한 효라는 잠정적 결론을 내려 본다. 숭고한 희생이 영웅을 만든 것이 아니라, 심청에게 내재한 여성성의 발현이 그녀를 영웅으로 만들었다. 다시 말해, 여성성을 획득하고 자기 완성을 이루어 홀로서는 것이 곧 효의 완성이라 본다.

영문 초록

Hyoidology acts as a factor that hinders diversity in interpreting . Rather than fossilizing the female protagonists in the classic narrative with a fixed frame, they tried to bring out the hidden figure. The work of filling the empty spaces of wa s conducted t h roug h t he t wo stor ies a nd which are the same but different and different but the same. The comparison between and , after emphasizing the femininity through the dragon palace, flowers, and sungmut under the robe, saw Shimcheong s commitment to faith as a result of the positive reflection of Shimcheong s will. Shim-cheong s departure from the sacrificial filial piety, focusing on Shim-cheong s age, pointed out how he grew up from a girl to a woman. As a result, Shimcheong s positive appearance became the foundation for practicing filial piety. This is not the old filial piety that unconditionally follows the words of his parents, but the tentative conclusion that Shimcheong, who became a whole woman and became an independent adult, dedicates the true filial piety to his father. The sublime sacrifice did not make her a hero, but the expression of femininity inherent in Shim-cheong made her a hero. In other words, achieving femininity and achieving self-completion alone is considered the completion of filial piety.
