사진을 활용한 언어활동이 유아의 어휘력과 언어표현력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 사진을 활용한 언어활동이 유아의 어휘력과 언어표현력에 미치는 영향에 대하여 살펴보기 위하여 D시의 2개 병설유치원에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 40명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 실험집단 유아 20명에게 하위 집단별로 8주 동안 주 2회씩 총 16회 사진을 활용한 언어활동을 진행하였으며 실험의 효과를 알아보기 위하여 어휘력과 언어표현에 관한 사전검사와 사후검사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보기 위하여 실험집단과 통제집단의 사전검사와 사후검사 점수의 평균과 표준편차를 산출하였고, 사후 검사 점수에서 사전 검사 점수를 뺀 증가분에 대하여 t검증을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 먼저 사진을 활용한 언어활동은 유아의 어휘력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 언어표현력의 하위 영역인 단어 수, 문장 수, 내용의 일치도, 내용의 연계성, 창의적 표현을 포함하여 언어표현력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of photograph based language arts activities on young children s vocabulary and language expression abilities. The subjects were 40 five-years-old children attending two elementary school annexed kindergarten which is located in D city. The children were equally divided into two groups. The experimental group did the photograph based language arts activities. This study was conducted 2 times a weeks for 8 weeks, total 16 times, from 31st of May to 22st of July, 2011. To test research questions, differences scores between post-and pre-tests were calculated, and then t-tests were conducted on these difference incremental scores. The results of this study were as follows:First, the experimental group which participated in photograph based language arts activities was found to have positive effects on vocabulary ability in young children. Second, the experimental group which participated in photograph based language arts activities was found to have positive effects on language expression ability including number of words, number of sentences, consistency of content, connection of content, and creative expression in young children.
