국문 초록

본 연구는 교사의 지연행동과 교사의 지연행동에 영향을 미치는 내외적 요인들을 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 교사의 내적 변인은 성별, 학력, 교직경력 그리고 교사의 자기효능감이었으며, 외적 변인은 주당 교과 담당시수, 담임, 부장 담당 여부였다. 연구대상은 수도권에 위치한 6개 중학교와 2개 고등학교에 재직 중인 교사 총 137명이었다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과, 우리나라 교사들 중 만성적으로 지연행동을 하는 교사의 비율은 외국 성인들의 비율과 비슷하였다. 교사의 지연행동에 영향을 미치는 내적 요인들은 교사의 성별과 자기효능감이었다. 반면, 교과 담당시수와 교사의 지연행동의 상관관계는 유의하였으나, 그 정도는 미약하였다. 회귀분석결과, 자기조절 효능감이 교사의 지연행동을 줄이는데 가장 영향력이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 교사의 지연행동을 줄이기 위해서는 교사의 자기효능감을 높이는 것이 중요하다고 말할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study examined teacher s procrastination and its internal and external reasons. Its internal variables include sex, academic background, teacher career, and self-efficacy and external variables include the number of subject per week, whether he/she is a home room teacher or not, whether he/she is a chief of school affairs or not. 137 teachers participated in this study. The result of this study showed that the ratio of Korean chronic procrastinators was similar with that of foreign chronic procrastinators. Self-efficacy and sex were the variables that significantly influence on teacher s procrastination. Especially, the effect of self-regulatory efficacy on teacher s procrastination was the most powerful among variables. Although the number of subject per week was significantly correlated with teacher s procrastination, the correlation was small. Other variables did not significantly influence on teacher s procrastination. Therefore, in order to reduce teacher s procrastination, it is important to improve teacher s self-efficacy.
