교사교육의 의사소통학적 접근이 교사의 수학적 신념의 인식에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교사교육의 의사소통학적 접근이 교사들의 수학적 신념에 대한 인식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 의사소통학적 접근 방식을 적용한 [수학교과교재연구 및 지도법] 수업을 교육대학원생 49명에게 적용한 후 <수학적 신념 검사지>를 통해 신념에 대한 인식 변화를 조사하고, 인터뷰 희망 교사 3명을 대상으로 신념 변화의 이유를 분석하였다. 또한 신념에 대한 인식 변화와 개발한 교육과정의 관계성을 알아보기 위해 수업에 대한 반영적 설문(강의에서 가장 좋았던 부분과 그 이유)과 그룹 발표의 대표적인 사례를(내용 요약⋅발표 및 실제 현장 적용) 분석하였다. 분석 결과 의사소통학적 접근의 교사교육과정을 통해 교사의 신념에 대한 인식은 연속적인 상호작용성, 맥락 의존성, 양방향성, 교사 역량 의존성을 포함하는 의사소통학적 특징에 긍정적인 방향으로 변화되었다. 그리고 개발한 교육과정의 활동들이(의사소통학적 관점의 학술 논문에 대한 비평적 사고, 그룹 토의와 전체 토의) 신념에 대한 인식 변화에 도움을 주었다고 결론지을 수 있다. 위의 결과를 토대로 교사의 수학적 신념에 대한 인식을 변화시키기 위해 교사교육기관에서 의사소통학적 접근 방식을 활용하는 교육과정을 실행하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate how a teacher education course based on a communicational approach to teaching affects teachers’ cognition on mathematical beliefs. For this study, 49 graduate students taking the course of teaching mathematics in secondary school in college of education participated in a teacher beliefs questionnaire, and three volunteers were interviewed to examine characteristics of their belief change. In order to investigate the relations between teachers’ cognitive changes in mathematical beliefs and the developed curriculum, their reflection (on what do you like most in class and its reasons) and representative group presentations (content, summary, presentation, and field experience) were analyzed. As a result, it can be concluded that the course based on the communicational approach to teacher education changed teachers’ perspectives on that they positively agreed on communicational characteristics such as continuous interactivity, contextual dependence, bidirectional development, and teacher capability, and activities in the developed curriculum (critiques on papers for communicational approach, group discussion, and whole class discussion) helped cognitive changes in mathematical beliefs. These results help support for enacting curricula based on a communicational approach to teaching in teacher education program for positively cognitive change in mathematical beliefs.
