자유학기제 연계학기 연구학교의 ‘연계’ 특징에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 ‘자유학기제 연계학기’를 운영한 4개의 연구학교에 대한 사례 분석 연구로, 연계학기에 나타난 특징 및 정책적 시사점 도출을 목적으로 수행되었다. 분석 결과, 연계학기에는 교과 간, 교과와 비교과 간 통합적 교육과정 재구성, 그리고 서로 다른 학교급간 교육내용의 계속성을 고려한 연계 시도가 일어나고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 교사와 학생 간 상호 협력을 토대로 한 융합수업의 설계와 적용이 일어나고 있음을 확인하였다. 평가와 관련하여, 자유학기보다 지필평가 횟수와 평가주체의 다양성은 줄어들었지만, 엄격하고 공정한 평가 실행을 위한 교사들의 부담은 높아진 것을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 자유학기 활동 중 주제선택 활동이 강화되고, 학교와 마을의협력이 보다 긴밀해지고 있음을 확인하였다. 효과적인 연계학기 실행을 위해, 평가와 관련한 교사들의 역량 증진 및 제도적 보완이 요구된다는 점, 마을과 학교의 협력을 촉진하는 유관사업과의연결고리 모색이 필요함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of linkage in the semi-free semester and to suggest policy implications. To accomplish the purpose of the study, four schools were analyzed in this research. The analysis results confirmed that there have been various attempts regarding curriculum reorganization. In particular, some schools have attempted to connect with each others in terms of continuity and sequence of educational content between different school levels. Second, it was found that learner centered instruction, based upon mutual learning between teachers and students, has been continuously attempted. Third, while the diversity of evaluators was reduced compared to free semesters, it was revealed that the burden on the teachers for strict and fair evaluation is increased. Finally, the theme selection activities were emphasized in semi-free semester, and it was discovered that the cooperation between schools and the community is becoming closer. Based upon the above results, we suggest that the process focused assessment capacity of teachers should be strengthened and that institutional support is needed. Moreover in semi-free semester program there should be links with other projects that emphasize cooperation between communities and schools.
