텍스트마이닝을 통한 스마트폰 과의존에 대한 COVID-19 발생 전ㆍ후 변화 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 빅카인즈를 활용하여 뉴스 데이터에서 스마트폰 과의존 상승 현상을 파악하고, 중요단어의 연결 구조를 확인하는데 목적을 둔다. 뉴스 데이터 수집기간은 코로나19 발생 이전(2018년 1월∼ 2020년 1월, 총 24개월 )과 코로나19가 발병 이후(2020년 2월 ∼ 2021년 9월, 총 19개월)로 나누어 진행하였다. 데이터 규모는 총 37,786건이었다. 수집된 자료는 R을 활용하여 텍스트마이닝 분석을 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 코로나19 발생 이전 중요 단어는 ‘게임 중독’이었다. 둘째, ‘중독’과 ‘게임’은 가장 상관성이 높은 단어였다. 셋째, ‘게임’과 ‘중독’이 동시 출현 빈도는 1,515건이었으며 지지도, 신뢰도, 기여도 모두 가장 높았다. 넷째, 코로나19 발생 이후에 뉴스기사에서 게임, 질병, 중독, 스마트폰, 아이들과 같은 중요 단어가 대폭 감소하였다. 뉴스데이터 분석을 통해 최근 급상승하는 스마트폰 과의존을 둘러싼 의미연결 구조망을 확인할 수 있었으며 이와 관련된 다각적인 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the rising phenomenon of problematic smartphone use in news data using Big Kinds, and to check the connection structure of important words. The news data collection period was divided into pre-COVID-19 outbreak (January 2018-January 2020, a total of 24 months) and after the onset of COVID-19 (February 2020-September 2021, a total of 19 months). The total data size was 37,786 cases. The collected data was analyzed by text mining using R. The research results are as follows. First, the key word before the outbreak of COVID-19 was game addiction . Second, addiction and game were the most correlated words. third, The frequency of simultaneous appearance of game and addiction was 1,515 cases, and the support, reliability, and contribution were the highest. Fourth, important words such as game, disease, addiction, smartphone, and children in news articles after the outbreak of COVID-19 have drastically decreased. Through the analysis of news data, it was possible to confirm the semantic connection structure surrounding the recently rising problematic smartphone use, and various implications related to this could be drawn.
