영문 초록

A number of traditional medical treatises written by Mongolian scholars have been found and preserved to date. One of them is Persimmon’s Treasury of Wonders, which was written by Cho Gyatso in 1922. This book presents the uses of various medicinal materials, the recipes of multicomponent drugs, diagnostic methods, and the classification and treatments of the most common diseases from the various sources written by Indian, Tibetan, and Mongolian doctors. The present study details the traditional uses of some Mongolian plants that are described in Persimmon’s Treasury of Wonders but not in Four Medical Tantras, the principle textbook of Tibetan medicine. A literature search of Pubmed was performed to review the therapeutic effects and chemical constituents of the plant medicines. Some of the traditional uses of the plant medicines deserve more research attention.
