영상매체 활용 진로프로그램이 초등학생의 진로자기효능감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 6학년 학생 대상 영상매체 활용 진로프로그램을 개발, 적용하고 진로자기효능감에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 ｢소중한 나｣, ｢내 인생의 주인공은 나야 나｣, ｢보이지 않는 벽｣ 등 12개의 주제로 2시간씩 총 24차시의 영상매체 활용 진로프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램에 대한 진로효능감 및 만족도 조사를 위해 G광역시 소재 A초등학교와 B초등학교 6학년 학생을 각각 실험집단과 통제집단으로 선정하여 진로프로그램을 적용하였다. 진로자기효능감에 대한 검증과 프로그램에 대한 만족도는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 실험집단 87명과 통제집단 95명에 대한 사전, 사후 설문결과를 분석하였으며, 양적연구결과의 한계를 보완하기 위해 연구자가 관찰한 내용과 실험 학생들의 인터뷰를 통하여 질적 분석을 하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 진로자기효능감은 실험집단과 통제집단 각각 136.70과 113.03으로 실험집단이 통제집단에 비해 유의적으로 향상되었다. 하위 영역인 진로탐색효능감은 실험집단과 통제집단 각각 42.72와 34.74, 진로결정효능감은 45.58과 37.73, 진로수행효능감은 48.39과 40.54이었으며 모두 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 프로그램을 통하여 직업세계에 더 관심을 갖고 영상매체에 흥미를 느끼며 진로활동에 적극적으로 참여하여 영상매체를 활용한 진로프로그램이 초등학생의 진로자기효능감 향상에 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 초등학교 시기부터 진로에 대한 관심을 갖고 진로를 탐색하기 시작하는 것이 좋으므로 이 시기에 체계적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 영상매체 활용 진로프로그램을 비롯한 다양한 프로그램들이 개발될 필요가 있으며, 적절한 매체를 선정하여 적시에 활용할 수 있는 교육적 안목이 필요하다. 또한 교육 현장에서 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 진로프로그램에 대한 후속 연구가 지속되어야 한다.

영문 초록

This study developed career programs using video media to improve Career Self-Efficacy of elementary school students and verified their effectiveness. To achieve the purposes of the study, 87 sixth grade students of A Elementary School in Seo-gu, Gwangju were selected as the experimental groups to conduct the career programs using video media, and 95 sixth grade students of B Elementary School were selected as the control groups to analyze the changes in career self-efficacy. Changes in career self-efficacy were measured using questionnaires, and the data were analyzed and processed using SPSS 21.0. To compensate for the limitations of quantitative results, qualitative analysis was conducted through the observations of researchers and interviews of experimental student groups. The career program using video media developed in this study was consisted of 24 sessions, including pre-surveys and post-surveys. A total of 12 themes, such as ｢Precious Me｣, ｢The Main Character of My Life｣ and ｢Invisible Wall｣ allowed video media to be used for two hours to improve Career Self-Efficacy. In summing up the result above, the conclusion was the following: the experimental group significantly improved its sense of Career Self-Efficacy compared to the control group. The experimental group was also significantly higher in Career Search Efficacy, Career Decision Efficacy, and Career Performance Efficacy, which are the subcategories of career self-efficacy. In a qualitative study that observed the subjects, it was also confirmed that career programs using video media were effective in improving career self-efficacy of elementary school students. Since it is good to start exploring career paths in elementary school, career programs using video media need to be developed so that they can be systematically conducted during this time, and educational insight is needed to select the appropriate media and use it in a timely manner. Furthermore, follow-up studies on career programs that can be effectively utilized at the training site should be continued.
