국문 초록

본 연구는 학교 밖 청소년의 지역사회 무질서 인식 수준이 비행에 미치는 영향에서 사회적낙인감과 충동성 각각의 매개효과 및 이중매개효과 검증을 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는한국청소년정책연구원이 실시한 학업중단 청소년 패널조사의 2차년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 조사당시 학업중단 상태였던 329명의 청소년을 대상으로 PROCESS macro Model 6를 적용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교 밖 청소년이 인식하는 지역사회 무질서는비행에 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 지역사회 무질서가 한 단위 증가할 때, 비행의 위험성이약 2.0배 증가했다. 둘째, 학교 밖 청소년의 사회적 낙인감이 지역사회 무질서가 비행에 미치는영향을 매개했다. 셋째, 학교 밖 청소년의 충동성 수준이 지역사회 무질서가 비행에 미치는 영향을매개했다. 넷째, 학교 밖 청소년의 사회적 낙임감과 충동성이 지역사회 무질서가 비행에 미치는영향을 이중매개했다. 즉, 지역사회 무질서는 사회적 낙인감을 증가시켰고, 증가된 사회적 낙인감은 충동성을 증가시켰으며, 최종적으로 증가된 충동성이 비행의 위험성을 증가시켰다. 이상과 같은결과를 토대로 학교 밖 청소년의 비행 문제에 개입하기 위한 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the individual mediation effects of social stigma and impulsivity and their dual-mediation effect in the influence of community disorder on delinquency among out-of-school adolescents. Using data from the 2nd wave of the Panel Survey of School Dropouts conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute, this study performed analyses with the PROCESS macro Model 6 on a sample of 329 out-of-school adolescents. The main results are as follows. First, out-of-school adolescents’perceived community disorder positively significantly influenced delinquency. When community disorder increased by one level, the likelihood of experiencing delinquency increased about 2.0 times. Second, out-of-school adolescents’social stigma mediated the influence of community disorder on delinquency. Third, out-of-school adolescents’impulsivity mediated the influence of community disorder on delinquency. Fourth, out-of-school adolescents’social stigma and impulsivity dual-mediated the influence of community disorder on delinquency. The levels of community disorder increased the levels of social stigma, which, in turn, increased the levels of impulsivity and, finally, increased the likelihood of experiencing delinquency. Based on the results, practice implications to address the delinquency of out-of-school adolescents were discussed.
