Classifying Latent Profiles in Job Preference of Young Adults with Disabilities and Testing the Effects of Determinants

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 청년장애인의 취업선호도 유형을 파악하고, 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 실증적으로 검증하기 위하여 2019년 장애인고용패널 2차웨이브 4차조사 자료를활용하여 18~39세 청년장애인 814명을 분석하였다. 잠재프로파일 분석을 통해 취업선호도 하위유형을 파악하고, 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석으로 각 유형에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하였다. 잠재프로파일 분석 결과 ‘높은수준 일자리 선호형’, ‘중간수준 선호형’, ‘낮은수준 선호형’, ‘근무환경중시형’의 4개의 하위 집단으로 분류되었다. 각 유형을 결정하는 요인으로 학력, 자격증 보유, 주관적 근로능력 수준 등 인적자본 요인이 유의하게 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 고학력의 인적자본 요인을 다수 보유한 청년장애인을 위하여 양질의 일자리 개발이 필요하며, 청년 중증장애인에게는 적절한 근무환경도 취업 결정에 중요한 요소이므로 고용서비스 제공 시 취업 기회뿐만 아니라전반적인 근무환경도 고려하여 접근해야 한다는 점을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to empirically identify the types of job preferences of young adults with disabilities and to explore factors that affect them. To confirm this, 814 young adults with disabilities aged 18 to 39 were analyzed using data from Panel Survey of Employment for People with Disabilities (PSED) in 2019. Employment preferences subgroups are identified using Latent Profile Analysis (LPA), and multinomial logistic regression is used to identify factors affecting each group. According to the LPA, it was classified into four subgroups: ‘high preference type’, ‘medium preference type’, ‘low preference type’, and ‘working environment priority type’. Human capital factors such as educational background, certificate, and subjective workability levels were significant as factors to determine each type. Based on the results, it was suggested that quality job development is necessary for young adults with disabilities who have many human capital factors and employment services should be provided to young adults with severe disabilities in consideration of the overall working environment.
