국문 초록

본 연구는 상담자의 사회부과 완벽주의, 심리적 소진, 자기불일치의 관계를 분석하고, 사회부과 완벽주의와 심리적 소진의 관계에서 자기불일치의 매개효과를 검정하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 성인 및 아동·청소년 상담자 288명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였으며, 수집된 자료는 신뢰도분석, 기술통계, 상관관계 분석, 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 상담자의 사회부과 완벽주의와 자기불일치, 심리적 소진은 서로 정적상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 자기불일치는 상담자의 사회부과 완벽주의와 심리적 소진의 관계에서 부분매개를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 사회적 완벽주의 성향이 높을수록 상담자들은 소진이 될 확률이 높으며, 이들이 소진되는데 있어 자기 불일치와 관련된 심리적 혼란이 유의미한 역할을 한다는 것을 밝혔다는 데 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 사회적 완벽주의 성향이 높은 상담자의 교육 및 수퍼비전의 방향에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship among socially prescribed perfectionism, burnout, and self-discrepancy of counselors, and to verify the mediating effect of self-discrepancy in the relationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and burnout. To this end, a study was conducted on 288 adult, child, and adolescent counselors, and the collected data was analyzed for reliability, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis. The results showed that the counselor s socially prescribed perfectionism, self-discrepancy, and burnout were positively correlated. Second, self-discrepancy was found to have a partial mediating effect in the relationship between the counselor s socially prescribed perfectionism and burnout. This study proved that counselors who have a high level of socially prescribed perfectionism are more vulnerable to burnout, and psychological confusion relating to self-discrepancy has a meaningful effect on their burnout. Lastly, the authors provide suggestions to clinical supervisors and counselor educators who work with counselors who have a high level of socially prescribed perfectionism.
