국문 초록

4차 산업 혁명으로 인한 산업과 사회의 변화에 따라 시장에서는 소비자 중심의 창의·혁신 제품에 대한 요구가 빠르게 증가하고 있다. 이러한 변화에 적극적으로 대처하기 위하여 제품 개발에 중요한 역할을 담당하는 제품 디자인 관련 전공 대학생을 대상으로 혁신제품 개발을 위한 디자인 사고 방법을 활용한 메이커 교육 과정을 운영하였고, 그 결과를 분석하여 교육 프로그램의 개선점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 경기도 소재 D대학교의 디자인 학부 전공 교육과정의 일부 과목들을 연계하고, 메이커 정신을 토대로 디자인 사고의 과정과 세부 단계들 및 도구들을 활용한 창의혁신 제품 개발 교육 프로그램을 설계 및 적용하여 제품 디자인 전공 대학생을 대상으로 3년 동안 운영하였다. 교육 프로그램 운영 과정에서 참여 학습자에 대한 관찰 및 상담 내용, 학습자 활동 과정의 중간 및 최종 결과물, 그리고 연구자의 경험을 분석하여 연구 결과를 도출하였다. 연구 결과로 학습자의 결과물에서 실제적 문제 발굴 및 정의, 창의적, 현실적 아이디어 도출과 프로토타입(Prototype) 제작, 기술 기반의 혁신 제품 개발 및 생산과 같은 특징이 증가하였고, 교육 프로그램이 혁신 제품 개발을 위한 학습자의 개인적, 사회적, 기술적 차원의 특성과 역량 개발에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 파악할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

According to the changes in industry and society caused by the 4th industrial revolution, the demand for consumer-oriented, creative, and innovative products is rapidly increasing in the market. To cope with these changes, I developed and operated a maker education program using design thinking methods for innovative product development for university students majoring in product design, who will be product designers who will play an important role in product development, and tried to derive the improvements in the education program. For this purpose, some course in the design department s major curriculum at D University in Gyeonggi-do are connected, and the creative-convergence education program using the maker spirits of maker education and the specific process and detailed tools of design thinking process is designed and applied for university students majoring in product design for 3 years. While operating the program, the research results were derived by analyzing the observation about learner, counseling, and the researcher s experience in the educational program participation, as well as the intermediate and final results of the learners’ activities in their project. From the results of learners, the specific features of exploring and defining practical problem, creative and specific ideas and prototypes, and technology-based innovative manufacturing and products increased. And it was found that the educational program had a positive effect on the development of characteristics and competencies at the learners’ personal, social and technological level for the development of innovative products.
