국문 초록

4차산업혁명이라는 용어가 최근 들어 한국사회 전반에 걸쳐 폭넓게 통용되고 있다. 정치,경제,사회,종교,교육,문화 할 것 없이 이 용어를 언급하지 않는 곳이 없다. 주지하는 바대로 4차산업혁명의 특징은 삶의 대부분 영역을 빠른 속도로 바꾸어 가고 있다는 데 있다. 이를 초연결, 초지능시대의 돌입이라고 칭하기도 한다. 바이오, 클라우드, 사물인터넷, 비즈니스플랫폼, 인공지능(AI), 자율주행자동차, 3D프린트, 빅데이터, 로봇 등이 4차산업혁명 시대를 이끄는 대표적인 개념들이다. 2016년 3월, 딥마인드의 인공지능 알파고가 세계최고의 바둑기사 이세돌과 대국하여 4대1로 이겼을 때, 이미 4차산업혁명의 충격은 한국땅에서도 경험한 바 있다. 4차산업혁명의 전개가 개인과 사회와, 국가 뿐 아니라 가히 세계와 인류의 삶을 통째로 바꾸어가고 있는 메가톤급 영향을 발휘하고 있다는 점에서 모든 영역이 긴장하며 주목하지 않을 수 없는 것이다. 본 연구는, 이렇듯 요동치고 있는 4차산업혁명 시대의 도전 앞에서, 교회와 기독교학교들을 포함한 모든 기독교교육 현장에서, 기독교교육의 내용과 형식을 어떻게 리디자인해야 할 것인지 고민하면서 그 방향성 제고를 시도한 연구이다. 글의 내용은 4차산업혁명의 현상(국제적 반응, 내용과 파급효과, 과제와 대책), 교육에의 영향, 국내 일반교육학계와 기독교교육학계에서의 반응, 그리고 기독교교육적 관점에서의 고민과 방향성 제고 등을 차례로 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 4차산업혁명시대 인간교육의 핵심으로 주목되고 있는 인성, 창의성, 소통, 협력 개념을 기독교교육적 관점에서 재조명하였다.

영문 초록

The term “4th industrial revolution” has become hugely popular in Korean society, so popular that it now turns up in all aspects of society, including politics, economy, society, religion, education, and culture. It is well known that the 4th industrial revolution’s principal impact on life is to make all things faster and more efficient. One might even say that the 4th industrial revolution is the dawn of a new era of hyper-connectivity and hyper-intelligence. Biotechnology, cloud computing, the Internet of things, business platforms, artificial intelligence (AI), self-driving cars, 3D printing, big data, and robotics are among the leading concepts of the 4th industrial revolution. Korea has already experienced firsthand the shocking potential of the 4th industrial revolution when “AlphaGo,” an AI computer program developed by Google affiliate “Deepmind,” defeated Sedol Lee, the world s best Go player, in a 4 (wins) to 1 (loss) Go match in March 2016. Because the 4th industrial revolution will radically alter life at all levels(from individuals and nations to societies and humanity), every field of study must pay close attention to the development of this phenomenon. This research paper attempts to study the 4th industrial revolution from a comprehensive Christian educational perspective, including from the perspectives of churches and Christian schools. It maps various directions that Christian education may develop into in the 4th industrial revolution era, with commentary on how the form and substance of Christian education should be rethought and redesigned. The paper discusses, in order, the international reactions to the 4th industrial revolution, the contents of the 4th industrial revolution and its rippling effects, the 4th industrial revolution s effects on education, domestic reactions from Secular and Christian Education circles in Korea, and additional considerations from a Christian Educational perspective. Finally, the paper explores, from a Christian educational perspective, the impact that the 4th industrial revolution has on fundamental aspects of human education, including personality and character, creativity, communication, and cooperation.
