국문 초록

이 연구는 중등교사의 직무수행에 관한 자료를 실제 수행 과정에서 수집함으로써 교사의 직무수행 실태를 구체적으로 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 중등교사의 배경 변인에 따라 직무수행 양상의 차이가 유의한지, 시간의 맥락 속에서 직무수행은 어떠한 양상으로 나타나는지를 살펴보았다. 중등학교 교사 78명이 연속적으로 5일 동안 매일 6회 경험표집양식을 작성하는 방식으로 수집한 2,156개의 응답자료를 직무수행 활동, 공간, 대인 맥락으로 범주화하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무 활동 중 교수 활동, 활동 대상 중 학생, 활동 공간 중 간접 교수학습공간의 빈도가 가장 높았다. 둘째, 학교내 직무수행의 활동, 공간, 대인 맥락 각각의 빈도에서 중등교사의 배경 변인에 따른 차이가 유의하였다. 셋째, 일주일간 시간의 흐름에 따라 직무 활동의 양상에서 특징적인 모습이 관찰되었다. 마지막으로, 이 연구의 결과가 가지는 의의와 시사점에 대해 논의하였으며, 연구의 제한점을 제시하고 후속연구를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to investigate the actual state of secondary school teachers’ job performance, to test differences in their job performance by socio-demographic background, and to examine their job performance with the passage of time through the experience sampling method in the real work setting. Seventy-eight secondary school teachers completed experience sampling forms for 5 consecutive days. The 2,156 response data were categorized into job performance activities, settings, and interpersonal contexts. Frequency analyses and chi-square tests were conducted to test differences in the response frequencies by socio-demographic background. The results were as follows. First, differences in the frequence of job performance activities, settings and interpersonal contexts by socio-demographic background were significant. Second, aspects of secondary school teachers’ job performance occurring with the passage of time for a week were peculiar. Finally, implications of these results for educational practices and policies, limitations of this study, and suggestions for further research were discussed.
