간호대학생의 정치효능감, 정치관심, 정치신뢰가 정치참여에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

최근 정치·사회적 사건과 소셜미디어의 발달 등으로 대학생들의 정치에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있으나 간호대학생의 정치적 역량은 여전히 부족하다. 이에 본 연구는 정치효능감, 정치관심, 정치신뢰가 간호대학생과 일반전공 대학생들의 정치참여에 어떠한 영향력을 가지고 있는지에 대하여 탐색하고, 이를 비교하고자 한다. 본 연구의 대상자는 경기도와 충청도에 소재하고 있는 대학에 재학 중인간호대학생 220명, 일반전공 대학생 217명이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 21.0프로그램을 사용하여 t-검정, 일원배치 분산분석, 위계적 회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 간호대학생은 일반전공대학생에 비하여 정치효능감(t=-2.71, p=.012)은 낮았으나, 정치관심(t=3.22, p=.001)과 정치참여(t=6.17, p<.001)는 높게 나타났다. 대상자의 정치참여는 정치관심, 정치효능감, 성별, 전공에 의해영향 받으며, 설명력은 32%로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 정치관심과 정치효능감을 향상시키는 정치활동과 관련된 교육이나 중재프로그램을 개발하여 전공과 성별에 따라 정치참여를 향상시킬방안을 모색함이 필요하다. 대학생에게 공통적으로 가장 강력하게 영향을 미치는 변수가 정치관심으로 대학생의 정치관심을 강화시킬 수 있는 방법들을 개발하고, 이를 적용하는 것을 제언한다.

영문 초록

Although university students interest in politics is increasing due to recent political and social events and the development of social media, the political competence of nursing students is still insufficient. This study explores and compares the effects of political efficacy, political interest, and political trust on the political participation of nursing students and non-nursing students. Participants were 220 nursing students and 217 non-nursing students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and hierarchical regression analysis. Political efficacy of nursing students was statistically significantly lower than non-nursing students(t=-2.71, p=.012), but political interest(t=3.22, p=.001) and political participation(t=6.17, p<.001) was statistically significantly higher than non-nursing students. Participants political participation was affected by political interest, political efficacy, gender, and major, and its explanatory power was 32%. Based on these results, it is necessary to improve political participation according to major and gender by developing education methods related to political activities that increasing political interest and political efficacy. It is suggested to develop and apply methods that can strengthen university students political interest as the variable that has the most powerful influence in common on university students.
